I have dusted off the old balence board and wondered if anyone has used theirs to good effect? or was thinking of doing so?

Has anyone got the new wii fit plus and if so is it worth getting if you have the original?

Maybe we could post what workouts we have done?

I'll join you. dh could n't get hold of wiifit plus before Xmas, think you can set up workouts there rather than have to pick and choose each time.

arsebiscuit · 31/12/2009 11:03

Me too, have got the wii fit plus, i would say it was worth getting, you tell it which part of your body you want to concentrate on and it will suggest which exercises to do, or you can make up your own daily routine yourself, is good, haven't been on it since xmas day tho

squashedfrogs · 31/12/2009 11:11

I will be dusting off my balance board today and unwrapping the wii fit plus which is still in the cellophane despite having been in the house since the end of October

Pwsimerimew · 31/12/2009 11:20

I'm intimidated by the little man - will he tell me off for putting on weight since our last date?

gingernutlover · 31/12/2009 11:27

i dusted mine off yesterday to be told it was 136 days since i used it and that i had put on 8 lbs

must must must start tomorrow

mozette · 31/12/2009 11:42

I've got Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus and EA active currently gathering dust! however once I'm back at work next week I'll be dusting them off

dobby2001 · 31/12/2009 18:20

Lol at least its not just me then I have decided its daft me buying the wii fit plus until i start using the normal wii fit. I realised last night when i had a go that it says how many times you have used each excercise - embarresingly none were in double figures in the year i have owned it (christmas pressie last year) and most of the muscle workout section have zero

As added incentive I have been given an active health with carol Vordamen for my DSI (this years christmas pressie) that gives you diet and exercise advice and you can input your wii exercise into it which it translates into steps - theres a challenge to walk from Lands end to john o groats apparently - only got it today so yet to play . So more wii fit i do the closer i will get to both goals

Soo whats everyone aiming for?

No, but I want one! I have the somewhat irrational idea that it will solve all my mummy tummy troubles. Well, that and the Shiney thread, naturally

RedFraggle · 01/01/2010 11:38

Can I join you?

Really need to lose a stone and tone up. I did use the Wiifit religiously when I first got it and lost quite a good amount of weight - then I went lazy, and we moved house, and all the other excuses I can think of...

I've got the wiifit plus but have only looked at it once.

Should we try to set an aim? Like 10 minutes a day, or 20 minutes three times a week? Then we could check in and support one another in sticking to our goals.

I've got to do something to shift this mum-tum!

moodlum · 01/01/2010 11:41

I was going to dust ours off today, and also the EA Personal Trainer thing for the Wii, which I remember (vaguely, I only used it the once ) was a bit more helpful than the wii Fit..

gingernutlover · 01/01/2010 11:45

i've just ordered the wii fit plus and also a wieght loss hypnosis cd will report back when i am skinny ha ha

TillyMintSpy · 01/01/2010 11:49

I bought wii fit plus for DH's birthday, in the hopes that he will do some exercise

I love it, but I can't master running on the spot on the jogging one

galadriel77 · 01/01/2010 11:54

We've had the WiiFit for a year and I haven't used it for ages.

Currently 35 weeks PG and can't use it as I've got back and hip problems but would love to dust it off once the baby is born!

Is the Wii Fit Plus the new one? And is it any good? Worth getting?

bayleaf · 01/01/2010 14:39

Thanks for directing me over here Moodlum - I shall order a package after the w/e ( otherwise it will arrive tues when I'm at work) and see if it can be the begiining of a 'new me'!?

dobby2001 · 01/01/2010 17:36

Where's the best offer on for the wii fit plus? would be nice to point folk to a bargain?

Having had a chance to play with my other new toy,the active health for Nintendo DS I can recommend that too. You put all yur height ,weight etc in and it tells you what you should be aiming to lose and over what time period - realistically!! For example my first goal is 2 stone by 22nd July - now I would have made things much tougher but then Irealised thats why i always blinking fail dismally! You have a pedometer type thin you wear out and about and so far today without doing much i have got to within 1000 steops of todays goal - a walk around the block after tea will sort that out wii fit excercise can be added and they translate into steps too

Like the wii, the more you do the more things you get to unlock - have got a menu planner and game for todays efforts!

If anyone likes the sound of it, I got mine from gameplay for £19 but HMV have it in their 2 for £30 sale making it cheaper - normally its about £35-40 I liked it as something to carry around when away from wii to keep me motivated and concious of what I stick in my gob
