Here we are, thanks Cyteen for the excellent title although it's slightly false advertising on my part

up a tiny bit on fri but seems to have managed to regain 1/2 the weight i have lost since i started ...

have a very sore pain in side not sure what the hell it is so making me feel bleugh so no exercise for me today... at least i don't feel hungry so hopefully will come in/under calorie allowance..

hoping dd2 goes to cm this week so i can get to the gym..

well done albs fantastic start in just four weeks ..

vg/sazz.. hoping my gain will melt away this week too

cyteen · 22/02/2010 13:47

Sounds good VG - so I've got 7 weeks left, I guess my goal is to lose 14lb?

Bran flakes and banana for breakfast, hearty veg/barley stew for lunch. Hopefully I'll have enough calories left over for bangers and mash tonight

Thanks for your email btw, very encouraging! Lots to mull. I will do so when DS isn't moaning in his cot upstairs...laters.

Sazz there was no sign of cellulite so you flash away lass

cyteen welcome back . I can't believe you want to lose 21lb but if you do we will try very hard to help you. Although don't necessarily come to me for help as am being a bit rubbish at the moment

loti sorry to hear you are hurting hope you feel better and can get exercising again very soon

VG [grr] re your +2, I'm sure it will all just melt away. I nearly died of shock when I got on the scales this morning, and not in a good way...

Been upping the exercise in a mad bid to restart some loss here, including running around downstairs / on the spot for half an hour this afternoon. The local kittens were sitting on next door's shed roof peering in with decidedly expressions! Heaved an overloaded trolley round Asda too, and off on my bike in a minute so should end the day in calorie credit

Oh and I got some jeggings today [bush] actually they are quite nice

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 22/02/2010 20:00

Ewww and at [bush]

OP posts:
cyteen · 22/02/2010 20:13

LOLOLOL at your visible [bush] hots. Those must be some tight jeggings

Re. my target, I currently weigh 10st7 which is pretty lame really for someone of my short height and build - I'd like to be 9st. Until I was about 25 I remained blissfully suspended between 8st and 8.5st, no matter how much booze, cake and partying went on...if I could go back and tell myself one thing, there's a high chance it would be an instruction to start some exercise.

Haven't exercised as such today, just running around after crazy toddler/s all day, but have faithfully logged with Lord Ford and should be in calorie credit even after tonight's tea

dizzydixies · 22/02/2010 21:45

what the hell is a jegging?

ladies, I only managed the gym once last week and today I have had a horrible fall on ice outside work so my whole body is aching therefore didn't go to the gym after work and am sitting here feeling rater sorry for myself

I had take time off work tomorrow to go to the gym before work but thats been cancelled due to lack of staff [sigh]

will aim for Wed injuries permitting!

These jeggings are almost skinny jeans, just a bit stretchier and very tight

Ouch Dizz still tottering about on ice is a good way to tone muscles you don't often use

hotterpotter · 23/02/2010 10:09

Forgot about warm up stretches before my half hour of running about yesterday and my calves are really stiff today, doh. Might have to find something else to do for my extra exercise today

OP posts:
luckoftheirish · 23/02/2010 10:34

sorry to hear about all these injuries.. me too in the wars.. pulled calf and side really hurting so no gym for me today.. am going to attempt to go on the bike later.. weight is spirally out of control and not eating very much ... very very very disheartened ..

well done on your exersazz yesterday hots and sazz xx

luckoftheirish · 23/02/2010 11:39

gave myself a kick up the butt and did 20km on bike in just over 30 mins and then some crunches.. off to speak to lord focus to see what i can eat for today!

cyteen · 23/02/2010 13:06

I took DS swimming for the first time today It was a big success after the initial fear and tears. So I've logged it with Fordy as 'swimming - treading water' as it's more work than I expected carting a 2st toddler around in the pool. My knees were clicking like broken meccano, maybe low impact is the way forward for a while.

I have been starting the day with stretches this week and it is definitely helping with all the manual handling that parenting a LO requires.

Had a jacket spud with cheese and beans at the leisure centre as was starving. Mixed bean chilli and brown rice for tea, yum!

cyteen · 23/02/2010 13:07

Oh, forgot to mention that I got a couple of low GI cookbooks out of the library yesterday and was interested to find that most of what I naturally cook and eat tends to be low GI anyway. For someone as lazy as me, that's good news

cyteen · 23/02/2010 19:40

Am scraping in under my calorie allowance tonight, but should burn a lot tomorrow with some vigorous house cleaning (actual cleaning, alas, not like some of you floor scrubbing hussies ).

VintageGardenia · 23/02/2010 20:30

Hi.

Nice one on scoring the low GI cookbooks cyteen. On my weirdy diet one of the weirdiest things is replacing normal spudmash with alarming caulimash. I'm getting used to the taste but it blows my tummy up like a balloon. You know when the babies were tiny and had a massive milk feed and their tummies were taut and round - c'est moi, except magnified a gazillion times.

ds2 has had me in knots of laughter today, he seems to have suddenly developed this mad sense of humour, he was such a pleasure to be with today. I love him

Sorry that has nothing to do with weightloss. Good work on the bike LOTI and hope all the achey bits of the thread are fighting fit for tomorrow.

VG surely gales of laughter are most beneficial to the waistline? Hope so anyway as my DS has been similar to yours today, and I have been similarly smitten He pounces on any scrap of bare flesh that he sees and tickles with a cheeky grin on his face.

hotterpotter · 23/02/2010 21:53

Sazz good exercise lass, and v good at swerving wine

VG at cauliflower mash. I am a bad enough trumper as it is, think that would finish me off / kill my family with the fumes

cyteen yay for swimming with DS, glad you both enjoyed it

loti 20k in 30 mins is ace, well done

I only managed 5 mins of jumping up and down at lunchtime so instead have been on my bike for 50 minutes tonight, not especially fast but did 18 miles so that's 2x Exersazzes so far this week, already better than last week!

Well done both, excellent work

Got the day off today so am madly cleaning. So far I have burned over 600 calories and the top floor of the house is sparkling. Just have a tea break and then going to start on the bottom - hopefully I'll get it done by lunchtime so I can start the life laundry stuff this afternoon.

luckoftheirish · 24/02/2010 11:04

when you are done cyteen make your way over to my grotty house....

well done hots and sazz (hope dd2 is ok sazz)..

no gym again for me today [sigh].. got both dds as dd1 poorly with sore throat and the taking dd2 to the cm for a few hours not worth the agro..

hoping i can have another blast on the bike when dd2 has her nap.. got to do another 30mins as i don't think my previous 20 mins was enough [yawn] tis so boring tho
