well, back in the autumn I decided I would lose a stone for xmas

ha

ha

how hard can that be I thought? Well one thing and another got in the way, mainly too much to do at work and home and the result was eating rubbish.

three weeks left til; the end of term and I know I cant lose a stone in that time, could I lose half a stone? Just by eating sensibly? Is it worth trying?

Only if it won't make you unhappy! I do have one totally unproven and non-scientific way of losing weight that might help you. Try to cut out the snacks or replace them with bloody boring fruit (obviously) but, if you can, have soup for your evening meal. I still have it with bread (white!) and butter (!!!) but it always helps me to shed a few pounds really quickly. Oh and it doesn't matter what type of soup either. As I said, non-scientific but works for me.

The other thing you could do if you just want to create a new look is to consider changing your hair/make-up? Less stressy and faster results!

Good luck.

3 normal meals a day, walks, no alchohol, and NO SNACKS (except fruits - and in emergency a bit of plain bread - like one solitary piece) and you will lose weight. I tried it for last 8 days, and have lost what appears to be 2Ilbs though I was only setting out to lose Ilb/week. No snacks was incredibly hard and boring, but if you know you are having a normal meal at the end of a stretch you can hang on.
Now I look at a biscuit and I don't even want one.
