Kama - Bergen, i work on a cross-national research project and one of our partners is there. we have international project meetings every so often around Europe. I've been to Bergen for similar meetings twice before, I really like it. but i hate the idea of leaving dd3 for 5 days, she's 14 months. where are you from?

mandycc, I'm not on a specific diet, more an attempt to eat sensibly and exercise lots. i am not always very committed to it though so have not been losing weight very fast.

Kama. Oslo is nice too. I have considered going to work in Bergen for a couple of years, with these people we already work with. really like the people and culture (apart from the lack of cheap alcohol). but everyone says it would be too rainy and dark in winter.

mandyc66 · 14/06/2005 21:26

I am doing low fat..my version. I eat loads and am never hungry! I should exercise more though. more... I mean I should exercise..full stop!!!

Kama, i get SAD in the UK. i currently live in rainy grey manchester, but am planning a move to sunnier climes. Bergen I think would be lovely if it weren't for the climate (i guess it's not too expensive if you are earning a Norwegian salary? apart from the wine...). am also talking to a colleague in Lisbon. better for sun and wine. not so wild and free though.

Fennel · 14/06/2005 21:32

and Kama, back to a mumsnetmamas-appropriate topic. I always put on weight in winter with SAD. at least a stone. and lose it in summer, and lose lots more when I go somewhere hotter and sunnier. so I suspect Norway might be a disaster in that respect.
