August 09 New Mummies - working on those Jelly Bellies

Anyone want to join me.

I have 2 lovely (big) DS's but that has definitely taken its toll on my body. Not just the jelly belly but on my thighs, face etc as well.

I need to lose 2 stone to get to prepregnancy weight pre DS2 (and approx another stone to get to my weight pre DS1)... but one step at a time.

Weight loss seems to have faltered since birth and I am BFg so mammoth boobs and huge appetite aren't helping either. I am hating all of my maternity clothes with a passion and other non maternity clothes.. well lets not go there they look awful.

Would love to have support/focus to help lose that weight

Helloooo

Thanks KKQ for linking me to this thread, just marking my place for now and will have a proper read up x

cairns · 23/11/2009 13:38

Heinz glad you are joining us

KKQ sounds like you had the same week as me!!

argggh stagnant week for me, although kind of expected that as I have also been a little piggy as a result of having a cake baking spree, I kind of got back into baking as I have roped into baking a load of cakes for a big kids/dads/mums function thing and of course/.. I decided to test some new recipes first.

no more cakes, no more cakes mantra now = 2lb weight loss this week.

On a positive though, DH has got all gadgety and he treated himself to his Xmas present early... so I requested mine too... have got a wi fit plus, have been after one for ages, so am happy... so this should help as am struggling to get out of the house to exercise (was relying on buggy pushing....long walks of which are non existent in this weather)

So any predictions for weigh ins tomorrow????

I've had a 50/50 week I know i've had too many calories on a couple of days, but i've been really good on others and walked the school run a few times too.....

cairns · 29/11/2009 19:00

50/50 week here too, but weighed in with a 1.5 lb loss so not too bad, at least it is still heading south and with the run up to Xmas, not a bad effort

How did everyone else do?

Haloooo, Well after thinking that my chances of losing this week really were 50/50 I have surprised myself! I'm now 10 stone 8, so I now have 1 stone 6 to go! I've even managed to undertake my slacking dp .

Hope everyones ok, one more thread and i'm off to bed....

readyfornumber2and3 · 04/12/2009 18:59

Hi all sorry I have been absent for a while but been mega busy!
The twins are doing well, we have just moved house and we get married in 10 days!! that and Christmas means I have been a very busy bee!

I was really struggling with the healthy eating and with only 7 weeks to lose weight for the wedding I decided cambridge was the only way forward!
I had my 6th weigh in today and I lost 5lbs this week bringing my total to 2 stone 1lb lost I ordered my wedding dress small and it is now a perfect fit
After xmas I still have another 2 stone to lose but Im sure that wont take too long!

Hope everyone else is doing well x

BackUpYourPhotosNow · 05/12/2009 11:18

Oh wow!! ready that is a fantastic weight loss!! I am so impressed!! I'm also house moving, but not until just after xmas -who knows if or when we'll ever get round to getting married .

Well done! You'll have to post your wedding pics so we can see how skinny you are!

cairns · 06/12/2009 11:28

Ready well done on the weight loss I am sure you will look fab in your wedding dress, how wonderful.... good luck.

Having twins, moving house... and getting married that is some feat.. well done you.

Weigh in day today for me and have lost 4lbs this week. Not that surprising really as haven been assisted by both DS1 and I having a D&V bug for a couple of days, am thankful that DS2 so far hasn't any symptoms but have been a tad worried.

Total loss since birth for me is now 2 stone (woohoo) and about 18 or so lbs since this thread started, when you look at it like that we have all done really really well. Although still have a 1/2 stone to go my 1st real target, and 1stone to my final one.

Hi ladies, Well i'm having a diet break until we get moved, I just don't have the energy to focus on dieting with everything else going on!

As you say cairns, this has been a very positive thread, everyone has lost weight by the looks of it!

When This thread started I was 12 stone 1 I'm now 10 1/2 stone. My ultimate aim is 9 stone 2 and I am determined to get there. I'm going to get christmas and the housemove out of the way and then I'm going to start again I'm thinking that its probably not a bad thing if I maintain for a while, might be better for my metabolism.

If the thread is still running I will head back here after christmas (oh dear - probably with a weight gain!)

Have a lovely christmas everyone!
