I must have wine. That's my only stipulation. Can't do without it.

Even losiing three stone wouldn't make me thin, exactly, Misdee, but two stone is as big an amount as I can contemplate atm.
It's got to make a big difference, hasn't it?

Aloha, Cod is a very good diet meister. I lost 10lb earlier this year on her No booze, No potatoes no Bread diet - for 4 weeks, then my resollve fell by the wayside and I have put it all back on again.

I am joining you, as I want to lose 7lb before 12 June (holiday)
I really need to lose about 3 stones though.
Yorkie and co have done really well on the Slimming World diet. Wish I had more willpower, and time to exercise (my downfall, along with the 5pm munchies)

Veggie soup recipe:
1 tin tomatoes
1 onion
1 carrot
1 courgette
1 celery stick
salt and pepper
mixed herbs

chop veg and add to tomatoes, herbs and season in saucpan. Bring to boil, then simmer til veg are soft. Whizz in blender for smooth soup.

You can vary the veg added and the quantity, and eat as much of it during the day as you wish.

Agree with Cod that just Tomato and basil is lovely. I used all my leftover toms from my garden last summer, made a huge vat and froze it.

Will have to ration Marslady's Jerk Chicken and Rice N Peas if I am to do this properly.

oh I have been losing and putting on the same half stone for about a year

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhh

However, a GI lunch/sarnie place is opening right next to where I work, I might try that I think

gingerbear · 26/05/2005 21:19

CD, we can be in the yoyo diet club. GI looks great, I have the diet doctor's book and it is much less faffy than Gilian 'Bacofoil frock' Mckieth's.

CountessDracula · 26/05/2005 21:21

well i don't really diet

I just have weeks where i am hungry and weeks where I am not

Have additional stupid prob of Crohn's disease which means as soon as I eat too much salad/veg/fruit I spend all day on the loo, so it is harder to eat healthily. But am terrible hog too!

gingerbear · 26/05/2005 21:57

Oh, CD, you have my sympathies - I have IBS and it flares up if I have overdone bread or anything spicy.

lilibet · 26/05/2005 22:10

Aloha, I have some weight watchers books and stuff you can have on a long term loan if you want to CAT me.

I would like to say that I don't need them anymore cos I'm thin.............

Bouj · 27/05/2005 07:12

This is exactly what I need (and love Aloha's wine stipulation). Can I barge in? I have observed Cod's fantastic 'support'!!! I haven't recently had a baby, so can't blame that. I blame lack of willpower and lovely Australian wine. But I my incentive is I get to unpack all my boxes of lovely London clothes next week and without a doubt they won't fit. So bully me too, Cod!
