unexpected weight gain

I managed to lose about 18lbs in May due to a culmination of illness and a miscarriage. Anyway since I've lost the weight I've managed to maintain it pretty well by keeping a careful check on what I'm eating and it only fluctuates by a couple of pounds. Last weekend I was a picninc one day and a bbq the next and quite a lot was eaten and drunk, so I decided i'd need to cut back and bit and get back to the gym (not been for 5 months) Anyway since doing that I'm shocked to discover I've now gained another 3 lbs! It's not my period as that's not due for another 2 weeks, I'm wondering if it's because I'm not eating dinner till later in the evening, when I'm back from the gym, if that could be causing it. Any ideas? p.s sorry for rambling on

write down everything you are eating & exactly how much exercising you are doing & then take a hard look at it. you may be under estimating one & over estimating the other. Remember the usual equation is calories out against calories in .

sorry x
