Can anyone recommend a decent pair of scales. At the moment I have nice digital ones but according to them, fresh air weighs 1.8kg then when you actually stand on them you can lose half a stone by placing them on carpet???

crap aren't they! We live our life by them but when they are wrong!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I bought a new pair (manual ones) and thought since I paid a fair bit of money for them, they would work better.

When leaning forward slightly I weighed 7 pounds lighter than when moving my weight to my heels. When standing still they moved about a bit in between.

I give up
