need to lose weight but confused by so many diets. can't afford massive club fees!! please help me!!

I am 5ft 5 weigh 11 stone 11. BMI about 28 i think. I want to lose some weight badly, I have got 3 weddings to attend in august and september! I am so confused by all the diets around. I don't want to pump my body full of tablets/slimming aids either. Where do I start??

Shineon has a slimming thread, there is a website where you can put all your info in and they work out your calories, Food focus, you can keep an online diary and know exactly what food you can eat.

I would just do calorie counting.

there is a website called www.foodfocus.co.uk and you can log all your foods every day there.

You put in your height, weight etc and it tells you how may calories you are allowed everyday.

The first few days is a bit of bind because you have to log all your foods, but you can then add them to your favourites, so it gets easier

There is a food focus thread if you want extra support

angel there is a thread about paul mckenna wieght loss. I am about the same height/wieght as you and started last doing some thing very similar to paul mckenna (different hypnotist) last weekend.

It is so easy and is not really a diet. you arent supposed to wiegh yourself until the second week but waiting one whole week was hard enough for me LOL (I am a serial weigher) and I am pleased to say i am 1.5 inches less round the waist and 5 lbs down.

I'm sure that wont happen every week but it's an excellent start and this week I have eaten take aways and cream teas. The key is only eating when you are hungry.

I had to listen to a 15 minute hypnosis thing and then do what he said! No calorie counting, no allowed or banned foods.
