Hey, im not on a diet, but need to sort my weight out. I think that i eat ok foods, but i know my portion sizes are way to big, so was just wondering what normal sizes are.
I know that protien(sp) should be the size of your fist, (well i think thats right) but dont have a clue about carbs and veg sizes.
Would love for someone to help clear it up for me.
Ps i have tried goggling it but it was really confusing.

According to the NHS, 1 portion is one of:

a handful of grapes
1 medium banana
3 heaped teaspoons of peas
1 med glass of orange juice
7 strawberries
3 whole dried apricots
3 heaped tablespoons of cooked kidney beans
12 chunks of canned pineapple
7 cherry tomatoes
1 medium pear
2 satsumas
1 tablespoon of raisins
1 handful of veg sticks
2 medium plums
2 brocoli florets
3 heaped tablespoons of sweetcorn,

so round, small things you need 3 tablespoons of, look at the weight of things aswell. I've no idea how they work these or anything else out though.

Carbs and proteins should both be the size of your fist. Veg can be as much as you wish

Apparantly 1 portion of fruit/veg is 80 grams except for fruit juice.
