Any single parents using a gym or doing outside the home exercise?

I don't "get on" with dvd's, wii fits etc-if I am at home I slob out, so need to get out to do my exercise. How do you do it if you are a single parent working full time? I am desperate to tone up, but my pathetic at home efforts are just making me miserable!!

hi paddington

I too am a single parent who stuggles to motivate herself with davina's dvd of an evening!

Can you exercise at lunch time? I used to go swimming at lunch from work in my lunch hour in my old job but I am too far from the pool now to manage.

I am part time so I keep DS in nursery for an extra couple of hours one avo and try and go for a run or a swim.

How old are your children? DS is three and I have a seat for him on the back of my bike. I used it a lot last year to cycle to nursery, drop him off then cycle to work. Must start it again this year.

The council run gyms round here over a deal where if your child is doing an activity you can work out for £1, DS is too young for most stuff still but am looking forward to that...

I definitely need to get out and exercise more thouhg as need to tone up and lose my tum
