Very interesting program.

Not silly things either, realy easy things that you can add to your diet.

What did anyone else think?

You need to watch it really, as it explains the reasons for them, not silly wishy washy stuff either.

I recorded it (or rather DH did), as it looked interesting. I'll try to get on and watch it tonight, if you reckoned it was good.

  1. DON?T SKIP MEALS. If you?re hungry your brain will zero in on high-calorie food to try and make you crave it! Willpower might not be enough to help!
  1. USE SMALLER PLATES. It really does make you eat less! The more food that is available to you, the more you will eat, even if you?re not hungry.
  1. CHOOSE LOW CALORIE VERSIONS OF NORMAL FOODS. Just by switching to low-fat versions of what you eat now, you could halve your calorie intake.
  1. COUNT YOUR CALORIES. Keep a super-accurate food diary - write evereything down that you eat. We forget about snacks & drinks, or sauces/salad dressings, and even forget to add the healthy calories we eat. People under log food by 50%!
  1. EAT MORE PROTEIN. Protein makes you feel fuller for longer. Adding 10% extra protein to the make-up of your daily calorie intake controls hunger pangs.
  1. EAT SOUP. Soup is scientifically proven to keep you fuller for longer than the equivalent food in non-blended form.
  1. EAT A VARIETY OF FOODS. We are programmed to eat a variety of foods and so we automatically seek out lots of different foods.
  1. EAT LOW FAT DAIRY PRODUCTS. Eating a high-calcium (i.e. high dairy) diet makes you excrete more fat from your body.
  1. EXERCISE A BIT MORE. The benefits of exercise continue hours after you exercise ? even when you?re asleep! You might burn off only 100 grams of fat in 90 minutes of exercise but by the next day you could have burned off four times that.
  1. ADD A LITTLE BIT MORE ACTIVITY TO YOUR ROUTINE. It has huge benefits and could burn up to an extra 250 calories just by adding these tiny changes ? this could add up to a stone of weight lost in a year

Good tips, I think I'll watch this programme later (after the gym )

I have started to eat my dinner from a smaller plate and it really does work. I felt a bit silly to start with but you don't notice you're eating less really.

It should have a number eleven - faddy diets don't work!!

Amen to the last, Beaniebaby!
