Have been doing this religiously every day for almost 4 weeks (having previously done no exercise at all) and no weight loss whatsoever! Why?! Anyone else tried it? I really love it and is first exercise have ever enjoyed and looked forward to but it's hard to persevere if not seeing results. Friends keep paying "oh you're building muscle, keep it up you will start to lose weight soon" but I'm not sure I believe them!

Have you changed your diet?

Have been doing the Paul McKenna only eating when you're hungry thing but suppose I was hoping that adding in the exercise would have an effect even without dieting which I hate, loathe, despise and abominate! Scales do show a one pound loss today so maybe it's just going to take longer than I thought.

Don't want to knock efforts, but nobodies ever built muscle through walking. Your nutrition determines if you lose weight, exercise will shape your body and burn a few kcals.
Eating when hungry can have it's issues, as you may then eat too much when hungry, and going too long without eating releases fat storing enzymes in the body...not good either way.

Hiya, you really need to change your diet no eay options sorry. If you are already walking then you could start to think about running! There is a coach potato to 5K thread in the sports and exercise forum which will take you from walking to running with lots of encouragement.

Good Luck

(also think only eating when hungry stupid idea)

I put on about 8lbs doing that Paul McKenna thing a few years back. Ate slowly, stopped when half full...I didn't even notice until I weighed myself after 2 months. Turned out to be a bit too good to be true. Have lost shedloads recently with WW though.
