slimming world question

I'd quite like to join slimming world but can't afford to pay every week. Is it possible to only go every other week and pay for just the weeks you do go?

only if a shift worker etc you could always pay the registration fee then not go again but it is far better if you go motivates you more and spurs you on by others

Thre is a SW thread on here sassy which is helpful, with links to another good SW forum (its good, but odd )

You could go for the first week to get the books and then do it online with us

Hi Sassyfrassy

I joined Slimming World about 6 weeks ago and have lost around 4.5 lbs over the 6 weeks. For some reason, I lose weight really slowly, (I'm short and had about a stone to lose)

I'm actually thinking about not going back to the meetings. The one I attend is extremely big so it takes a long time to go round all the weight losses. I do agree with Lesbianmummy1 that it does motivate you to stick to it but I'm finding that the stuff they discuss, I already know, (as I'm a bit of an obsessive so have read up on it ad nauseum). I'm finding that I'm sitting in the meeting and thinking of what I could be getting on with at home, (I work part-time so my days off are precious for catching up with houswork).

I do think the SW thread here is very supportive from any lurking I've done and the "sparkly place" is too, (although as MamaG says, it is a bit "odd" in a Stepford dieter sort of way).

Can I ask of any SW people answering this thread, how do you stop going? Would you let the group leader know or just stop going?

Thanks everyone, I'll have a look into the threads here and at the sparkly place and maybe go with the suggestion of getting the starterpack only. I would like to go to meetings purely for the pressure ofgetting weighed, but money is very very tight so really can't afford to go every week.
