Hi desperately need to lose some weight and have tried everything

Weightwatchers which did nothing at all for me even though I followed it religiouly

couldn't get my head around slimming world at all lol

Kelloggs diet did for two weeks and nothing except may have to kill myself if I see another bowl of Special K again!!

Slimfast - milk just totally disagrees with me

Thinking about giving the three day diet that heart one another go

Does anyone have any great diets that have worked or tips please need some motivation lol

The GL diet by Patrick Holford has done miracles for me (and lots of other friends) and is easy to follow & you eat loads and feel much better.

I ordered the books of Amazon.

Good luck

I have been calorie counting and this is working really well for me.

what sort of thing do you do on the GL diet is it easy to follow?

eat less calories than you burn - food focus is a good free website. exercise lots.

here is Glycemic load link. Have a read, it works really well and if you have a couple of off diet days and go back on the GL your body looses the weight quickly.

I now have hardly any cravings (wine being my vice), feel and look much better plus the biggest bonus is my periods are less heavy & painful

mustsleep - try foodfocus.co.uk. It's free, you just enter what your weight and other details, set your goal and it works out how many cals you need per day. you enter your food and exercise and it's easy to see what's higher in cals, how much exercise 'earns' you calorie wise and it's a purely logical way of keeping track and losing weight - it really is eating less and moving more, but in a more scientific way that you can monitor

it's working for me so far. it's gentle but steady, and as it's not 'faddy' you're more inclined to keep it off (imo). And the site is free so what do you have to lose? there's a thread here for us that are on it... come and join
