I am a bit worried tbh-I only wanted to lose a stone if that.
I am allowed 21 points and have been using them I have even had wine.
Is it ok do you think??

a healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. If you were extremely overweight you might lose more quickly, but no I wouldnt think it was ok.

Have you made really big changes to your eating habits? People who make the biggest changes lose the most. If you are on 21 points I take it you don't have masses to lose?

Some people do lose over 7lb in their first week although the average is about 3.5lb.

The biggest loss I have ever seen in someones first week is 14lb for a women and 16lb for a man.

As long as you are eating 21 points of healthy filling foods, like protein, pasta, potatoes and fruit/veg etc then don't worry.

Oh and well done!

WWleader-Yes I would say I have made big changes in that I am eating more!!
For example am eating 3 regular meals whereas before I would'nt remember to eat til I was hungry and then would grab anything.
And also you are right I actually only want to lose a stone[ish]
thanks you have reassured me I was worrying a bit my dh said this morning that he thought I was losing it too quick. But I have stuck to the points thats why I was wondering.

Eating 3 healthy home cooked meals really is the way forward. I encourage all my members to move away from processed food as it really doesn't help with the weight loss.

Also, even though previously you may not have been eating much volume of food, the points will probably have added up to a lot more than 21.

Eg, a packet of crisps can be 5 points, the same as a home cooked bolognaise.

Supernoodles and a chicken kiev is 20 points. Thats your whole days points gone!

Its all about educating yourself. Do you have the shopping guide and eating out guide etc?

we're not talking 7 lb in a week though are we? we're talking 7 lb in four days which tbh is a lot.

Op - when was your last period? because you retain water during your period so if it was say last week then the weight loss would be greater than at other times of the month iyswim.

Im gutted . I started WW on Monday night . I have follewed the plan to the letter . I was so looking forward to getting on the scales tomorrow night and seeing how much I had lost . Not to be , I came on this morning so I wont have a clue . Next week is a bank holiday so will have to get weighed somewhere else in the week . And to cap it off the following Monday we are away for My DS 10th Birthday so I will loose out on that weighing as well . I am determened to keep it up . But I was so looking forward to tomorrow night .

Ah Wannabe I was just finishing my period wed/thurs.
I did'nt think about that tbh.
wwleader no I don't have the guides I am doing ait ll myself from various online sites.I have found a ww calculator and am using that but tbh the biggest thing for me is that I am eating 3 actual meals.
I have never done ready meals -always cook from scratch but waht I was guilty of was having no breakfast and just grabbin a choc bar and then a packet of crisps mid afternoon and then drinking a glass of wine whilst preparing a meal and then another one with it and then late evening having some biscuits.
Whereas since wed I have had breakfast lunch and tea and only had a single glass of wine thursday and friday and have eaten anything out of my points range and have not actually needed to cos I have been eating more ifyswim.

Overweight, have you got another class in your area that you can get to on the Tuesday? Its a real pain when the classes are closed for bank holiday, but I am guilty of closing mine. After a few years of just getting 8-12 people, I don't bother any more.
Good luck for your weigh in.

Dreamer, You really had fallen into bad habits hadn't you.... Your chocolate bar and crisps were probably around 10 points, never mind the wine and the biscuits. So my theory of you not having much 'volume' of food was correct. It just proves you can eat so much more of the right food and still lose.

Keep it up

Thankyou
