Hello again everyone. I need a king size boot up the rs. I have said for weeks that I am going to be good and its just not happening.

Anyway, yesterday I walked into Going Places and booked a week away for me, hubby and 2yr old ds to Minorca at the beginning of October. I quite simply cannot step out on the beach or even in a pair of shorts with my legs. (or arms in vest etc etc!)

Please please someone boot me really hard - I deserve it. I MUST lose weight by then!

I have just discovered that there is a Slimming World class on Monday evenings not far from me so I think I will join next week. Havent done SW before so I think I will give it a go.

I am scared to weigh myself as I am sure I have put back on all that I worked so hard to lose in the first place.

You can do it YG - you are the inspiration on this thread. I am going to join SW because you are doing so well with it.

By the way, thanks for the boot!

marj · 03/05/2005 20:50

Heres a boot for you too!

BethAndHerBrood · 04/05/2005 17:59

There's a lot of booting going on!! Is it a private beating, or can anyone join in??!!

MarsLady · 04/05/2005 18:00

The warmer weather seems to be really helping me this week. I haven't had much of an appetite at all so no turning to comfort food either. For the first time in weeks I feel as though I'm finally starting to get somewhere.

MarsLady · 04/05/2005 18:17

I'd love to lie and say that I make my chips, but alas and alack I sent DS1 down to the chippie for the chips and the sausages were Sainsbury's butcher's choice.

BethAndHerBrood · 04/05/2005 18:17

I think mars may have eaten the wrong sort of sausage and chips!!!! LOL!!!!

Mars, did you enjoy them??!!

My DH ate a KFC family bucket and the tub of snickers ice cream last night apparently!!! Lovely.

Loobz · 04/05/2005 21:52

Hi everyone, just back from being weighed and have put back on most of the weight that I lost.
Yorkie, I'm treating this as a brand new start so will e-mail you my new starting weight.
It's no more excuses time - I am motivated (sore hip is helping to motivate me - it's amazing what pain can do!)

MarsLady · 05/05/2005 00:06

good on you! Gotta go to bed. I really hope all's well with you YG. Nite

coppertop · 05/05/2005 10:23

It looks as though I've actually lost weight this week but as I'd put some on over the past couple of weeks my official result is that I have put on 1lb - if that makes sense???

Well done, YG. I'm of anyone who can swim that kind of distance.

Fennel · 05/05/2005 15:21

hi all

am back in gear. have just lost for the 3rd time the 5lb I lost before xmas and then before easter. but this time motivation is high and it's staying off. have bought new running shoes, new swimming costume and given up (nearly) the breastfeeding - this is new fit keen me

yorkiegirl I have not really lost anything since october but since cutting down the bf I am less hungry and more energetic - do you find that?

i am exercising LOADS these last few weeks but it's only since stopping the fully-breastfeeding that I had the energy to go out running/cycling/swimming in the evenings.

BethAndHerBrood · 05/05/2005 16:48

Not happy - just been told that I cannot do the sponsored abseil that I was planning as I have an achilles tendon problem
On a plus point though - I have had a good day Am going to take it one day at a time and not stress myself - and then I woke up
