Has anyone any experience of this?
I have checked out their website, there is a counsellor near me and I think it may be what I need, several stones to shift .
Has anyone any idea of cost? The website makes no mention of this, which is usually a bad sign!

It is £66 a week Unfit. I have found that it saved me money, as I was spending too much on booze and take-aways
I has transformed me from a very overweight person with little confidence into a normal (still a little overweight) person who enjoys going out and has a lot more confidence. If you can afford it, it is more than worth it. HTH

Thanks, it has.
I had heard it was expensive, how many weeks did you do it for?

I'm still on it! You do 14 weeks initially and then decide if you want/need to continue.I have lost 44lbs so far and have around 2 more stone to go. Best of luck unfit

Haven't got any experience of it, but saw a fab photo and interview with Laurence Llewellyn Bowen's wife in this week's new! magazine- she has lost something like five stone on Lighter Life and looks amazing

Hijack - sorry! Have just discovered LL and am interested but have some questions the website does not cover.....

Cost - is the £66 including the food packs and counselling type sessions.

Counselling type sessons - this is what I'm really interested in as I have lots of insight into the harm overeatting is doing but no self control whatsoever. Need to learn what makes me eat and some coping mechanisms - will LL counselling sessions teach me this?

Thanks

bumping as I would like to to find out about LL too. Any LL mnetters about???

ilove · 17/05/2009 07:30

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I've lost over 11 stones with them now.

Yes the cost includes all your food for a week, and the sessions. YES the sessions will help you work out WHY you eat and how to stop the binging/out of control behaviour.

Extras which are not essential are the savory drinks and the water flavourings (£6 and £9 respectively)

The savory drinks you are allowed two a day on top of your 4 meal packs, the water flavourings are unlimited (be a bit careful tho as they can have a laxarive effect) but a tub of the flavouring lasts ages.

Anything else, just yell!

Morning everyone and congrats Ilove and undervalued - that is fantstic results you have got there! It has inspired me.

Can I ask a question or two?? .

Do you sign up first then go to the docs with the form or is there a downloadable one that you go with first? How many times do you go to the meetings a week? How do you cope if you have to go out to eat? (birthdays, weddings etc).

My background is I am 3.5 stone overweight, BMI is 35,have been ttc for nearly four years and have had three miscarriages. Im have also turned 40 recently so I am feeling HUGE pressure to change but just feel really lost.

I would appreciate your comments - many thanks in advance x

You need to go see the counsellor and get a form from her for the GP. You then take the completed form to your first meeting.

Meetings are once a week, some counsellors offer mid-week pop-ins as well...mine did. Normal meetings are 2 hours long.

Going out to eat I take my packs with me and smile prettily at the waitor and ask Chef to make them up for me. Never been refused. I order plenty of black coffee too!

geisha · 18/05/2009 20:42

ilove - fantastic weightloss! How long have you been doing LL?

didn't realise the gp needs to sign you up....not sure whether mine would....

Can you tell me about the food packs etc what is included in them.
