After dd i lost 3 stone with the atkins approach. i remember i added fruit and lots of veg very early but the weight fell off. After ds 11 months ago now i just cant shift it and i put on about 3 stone from start to finish! ( very stressful pregnancy!) I am now 11 days into the low carb/ no carb approach and feel like i am getting no where! I am running when i can and generally very active as we live on acreage. I had an emcs with ds and have that ghastly belly hang that follows and need to loose weight and tone up before it really gets me down.
I just keep forgetting stuff for example i just cant shake the bad headache and upset stomach...so ive added a bit of card back in so hopefully it will setle down now.. could just do with some practical morale support if anyone else is working along the same lines!

Hello.
I too am doing low-carb, in a bid to shed around 3 stone.
I too had an emcs and have that awful overhang.

I find that I can never lose at a rate that matches the very first time I low-carbed no matter how hard I try , so am settling in for the long haul.

Give me an idea of what you're eating on a day-to-day basis, and how much water you are drinking.

at the moment i seem to be struggling to eat! We are in Australia so heading into winter so im relishing some warming stews and have bought a slow cooker to assist me today!
Today i have drunk alot of water about 3 liters but its been warm. I have eaten chicken 2 breasts with lemon juice on it and some hallumi cheese.

I think you may be right my body just isnt buring off the weight ike it did first time and thats hard.

I work shifts too so thats hard coming up with things i can take to work...

but i will stuck it out!

From what I remember it's important to eat regularly (even if it's only a very small amount) otherwise your body goes into starvation mode and hangs on to everything.

umm thast what i figured may be happening... i have introduced a beackfast with a bannana and two slices of whlemeal toast. Having been told off by one of the docs at work that i will be very low in potassium I( hence bananna!) and im being a bit less rigid and ill see how this week goes. I just think its harder with two kids in tow... and very busy! so i will be patient it is coming off just slower than id like.. picky i guess and not good to myself!
