Slimming World very easy and it works for me... Am not a big fan of diets where you don't eat real food myself.... Ok for quick weightloss but not actual healthy eating is it? Sorry inzidoodle!

Can I chip in here? I actually did LighterLife very successfully when I had 4 stone to lose after two pregnancies and a lot of pies. It is a very good option if you have a lot of weight to lose and have tried all other methods and are feeling like you don't know where to turn.

I've been going to their management group for a year now, and I have put on a stone - so I'm actually still pretty proud of myself, but want to lose that stone. SO, I am now doing Weight Watchers, whilst still going to my weekly mgt group at Lighter life because it's free and the counsellign is great. I've lost half a stone in 2 weeks and I'm feeling fantastic and back in control.

So, it's what works for you. Big weight lose can benefit from something like LighterLife - it is very well supported by the medical profession. Psychologically it is incredible positive in spurring you on as the weight loss is so rapid - you just have to make sure you complete all the programme.

For smaller weight loss, something like SW or WW is great. I love WW because I'm educating myself about how to balance a healthy day of eating so I dont' get hungry and I eat guilt free.

Good luck!

Mullercorner - I think it really depends on personal circumstances/choice and also how much you have to lose.

I don't know anything about lighterlife so can't comment although I don't think it would suit me.

I think WW and SW both have good things about them. I'm currently doing SW new Extra Easy plan which I think is good because (as the title says!) it is easy to follow. Other people have said that weight loss isn't as much as on other plans, but, as I don't have that much to lose but just want to keep going in the right direction that's fine by me, but because it is so flexible I'm not tempted to cheat or give up. Personally I find I need to do a bit of exercise too whatever plan I follow (nothing major just a short walk most days)

Slimming World fan here.
If you want to change your lifestyle, learn to eat healthily without weighing, messing around, counting etc then give SW ago. I love my food and found that because with SW NOTHING is out of bounds it suited me well.

All weightloss plans need commitment, which ever one you do should become a change in your lifestyle.
For me this is SW because it is the same plan from starting through to maintaining and is not difficult to become part of your life if you choose. IMO It is not a DIET, I lost 5stone and ate myself slim.
