Is anyone really struggling on Slimming World despite religiously following the plan?

I am vegetarian and can only do Green. I have been good, hardly ever go over my syns, or even close to the 15. Only have one Healthy Extra a and b. Have even drastically cut down on free foods that are stodgy like pasta, potatoes, etc and gone to pulses instead. Still only lost 4lbs (which was what I put on over Christmas anyway) since end Jan?

Anyone else struggling. Perhaps it only works for some people. I must say that now that I have given up the obviously fattening things - my diet is not that much different from pre-slimming world.

If you're not losing what you want - fill in your food diary and give it to your consultant. They'll be able to tell you where you're going wrong.

I have joined SW. I have 1.5 stone to lose and I find it's not working that well.

The first week I lost 3lbs, then the second week none!

My food diary is:

3 or 4 cups of coffee with semi skimmed milk.

Breakfast - an orange
Lunch - a tomato mug shot (which is pasta apparently 1% fat)
x2 light blue laughing cow triangles and x1 light baby bell as my HE
x2 original ryvitas as my HE

Dinner Jacket spud with light cottage cheese, salad, roasted peppers, coughettes, onions and tomatoes sprayed with fry light.

Pudding Natural low fat yoghurt with grapes

Snacks x2 choc biscuits 10 syns

Why am I not losing weight. I'm veggie so if I have 'Meat' it's quorn sausages and I count them as a syn each.

I hope this Monday at weighing I will have lost something. If not I'm doing something wrong!

Yeah I'd say eat more - also are you syning the milk for your coffee? If you're using the cheese as your HE you need to count that. I always try and aim for about 5 Syns a day too. I know you can use up to 15 but I find sticking at 5 when possible helps me.

Ah... I'm not really drinking much - maybe a small glass of water once a day. I'll start drinking more. I have found on this diet I'm always needing a wee (more than usual). I haven't counted my milk in coffee just because I don't put in much and as the HE you're allowed 5 laughing cows light blue and I only have 2.

I have never been a breakfast eater so I find that difficult.

I'll update you on Monday if I lose any weight.

I don't have 2 biscuits everyday - I know what you mean a bad use of my syns. I've been thinking of it wrong I guess - I've been forgoing butter on toast, oils, Mayo etc not wanting to waste my syns on boring stuff so if I fancied a biscuit I could have it. I rarely go over 10 syns ever. I just had dinner today (breakfast and lunch as per my original post) so I ate rice, brocolli and 2 quorn sausages for tea (1 syn per sausage) and I had a tsp of extra light mayo so that's 3 syns in total and for pudding I had natural yog with a chopped Apple. Might have a SW bar later for 3 syns. Thanks for the comments - I'll go drink a pint of water now! X

The last 2 weeks I have cut bread and alcohol and reduced my caffeine intake out as well and using my Syns on other things I rigidly stick to 10 Syns a day and drink at least 3 litres of water a day plus other fluids as well I have even started writing things down again I have a weigh in tomorrow but think I have gained as I have just weighed now and it's not good I'm so dispondant as I'm am really trying and not seeing results.

A little advice needed, I'm logging everything I each, right down to the last polo mint, I've lost 2lb in 10 days. I'm only using around 5 syns per day, sometimes less. Should I be using more syns feel I should have lost more in my first weigh in. I'm 5'7" and weigh in today at 11st9lb. Thank you.

I thought I did ok I had lost 9lb but then had afew treats thought I had calculated it in the syns and gained 2and half incould have cried having been so good. I'm limited the syns to less than 10 to avoid going over

I have lost 2 stones on sw since April but struggled to loose the last couple of pounds to get to 2 stone. Still got a stone to lose following plan 100% and have always wrote everything down and weighed syns carefully just seems it's stopped working for me last 2 weeks gained 1 pound then another gain of 1/2 pound this week so again another stone seems an unachievable goal ! What am I doin wrong? How can I kick start my weight loss again ? So disheartened

Hi everyone after 14 weeks I've lost only 4 and a half pound. I've done diary after diary even a sp week which I put a pound on. This week I mixed up meals so I weren't eating the same and just maintained its soul destroying listening to others having losses when u don't. Pretending it doesn't matter when it really does. I lost 2 stone on WW but I was miserable counting weighing I was constantly hungry. I love SW for the plan just wish I could loss even a half a pound a week. My leader says in Jan she's going to put me at target because I've tried everything she has told me and it's not working

Am on this new SW app ( lockdown)
I've been on it for a few weeks now and I haven't lost just stuck to the same weight so frustrating
Trying to keep to sp and going to cut down on free foods( carbs) and sugar see what happens
But like some people on here fed up with it all. I walked almost every day and cycle almost every week. Weather permitting . But am glad I not the only one who feels like this.
