I am a fully paid up member of 2 weeks of SW! I'm back for 3rd time and see this rather confusing diet! Getting already caught out by red and green days and having bought the mag for this month see the Extra Easy diet in all its glory which sounds amazing as its mixed carb and proteins with seemingly no limit on either ( althogh of course limiting syns etc).

can someone eplease explain teh concept of hte Extra Easy diet to me so that i understand it as I want to substitue some of the meals in the mag plan and don't want to fall foul of its rule?

thanks so mcuh

ok extra easy is fab!!!

Free foods - anything from red and green lists
HEs - 1 A and 1 B
Syns _ up to 15 - when something has different values for Red and Green you count the LOWEST!!!

It is fantastic - I've gone back after a few months off and lost 6.5lb on my first week doing Extra Easy and I've never been a big loser - and it's so nice to have curry adn rice, pasta and chicken etc etc

I thought.. though I might be wrong, your plate had to be 1/3 red 1/3 green and 1/3 super slimming foods? and by eating the SS foods you filled up on less calories?

Please let me know if this isn't right.

Thanks

No - they suggest you might want to do it that way with the super foods to speed up weight loss but it's not neccessary for a steady weight loss. There's a plan called success express or something like that which you have to have superfree foods on, but extra easy is as it says on the tin extra easy!!

katylou25 · 25/02/2009 17:21

And no I don't limit my protion sizes - I find with sw I always eat more when I'm doind it than when I don't!!

suem6870 · 25/02/2009 17:41

extra easy slimming world you only have one A and one B choice any food that is free on a red or green day is free on extra easy and if you have any syns you look at the syn value for both days and take the lowest syn value.

For examoke today I have/will be eating...

Breakfast - banana and yog
snack - satsumas
Lunch - Bacon, egg mayo (1/2 syn), toast (HE B), pineapple
snack - s/f jelly
Tea - Chicken Tikka (1/2 syn), veg rice, 2 Poppadoms (4 syns), cheese (HE A) with apple and grapes
snack - ww cheesecake - 9 syns

Yum yum katylou25.

today on extraeasy I had

Quorn sausages and baked beans for breakfast with 0% fat fromage frais and 1 tsp honey 9 1 syn) for breakfast

Lunch was risotto made from this month's magazine which was nice.

Supper was baked fish from mag and sw chips
Now I have a rice pudding cooking - not sw but as its only rice ( free on green ) and skimmed milk ( HE A ) and sweetner ( free) I figure it must be ok.

A few sysn in day on very low fat/sugar sweets.

I do actually , it must be said, feel much much fatter not slimmer since started on monday. Do you actually feel slimmer or just are slimmer when you get on the scales? What I mean is that the meals are so large and well balanced that you don't feel as if you're losing.
