I've just weighed myself, 3 weeks after going wheat-free.

I've lost...

9lbs!!! Over the moon! Now weigh 10st 7lb, so still a long way to go until I reach my target of 9st, but I'm well on my way now!

Wow Goober- you've done really well too! What diet are you doing?

Wheat wise- I've cut out bread, pasta, cous cous, anything with flour (so processed food, meat with bread crumbs etc.) But I still have brown rice or baked potatoes with my dinner. And soup or salad for lunch, insted of cereal.

I've also cut out all dairy apart from milk in my cups of tea. I honestly feel like a different person, even if I don't look it yet!

Sorry, that should have been 'instead of sandwiches'

No particular diet just cutting the crap and doubling fruit and veg intake.

MorrisZapp · 20/02/2009 16:07

Awesome, looks like you've found 'your' diet! Keep it up.

Are you going to go wheatfree for life? (imagines a life without toast: shudder!)

cupofteaplease · 20/02/2009 17:23

Do you know Morris, I really did miss toast etc for the first 3 days, but it's been over 3 weeks now and I look at the dc's toast, sandiches and cakes and feel a bit, 'bleurgh', definitiely don't want to eat them. Which feels crazy for me, because I usually love bread and couldn't have imagined life without it [overly-dramatic emoticon!]

Am about to go to Italy for a month, so how I'll cope without pasta and pizza remains to be seen!
