Day 5 of the Cambridge Diet - whoo hoo!!

Finally decided to bite the bullet so to speak. Have 5 stone to get rid of before summer hols at beginning of August and apparently this will be perfectly achievable on this diet. Did start a healthy eating/walking plan at beginning of Jan but only lost 2lbs so decided to do something more drastic .

Have researched this diet quite a bit and after the initial mind blowing hunger, have now settled down into it and even though the kids are offering me their sweeties and crisps, do not really want anything to eat. Have already noticed a change in my skin (tis lovely and smooth) although I am feeling a bit weak but I am assured this will pass and if not I shall add a meal as I want to continue walking.

I am have been about 5 stone overweight for 12 years (since 1st pregnancy) and seem to have maintained that (even through a twin pregnancy) so am doing this to finally get rid of it as I do not intend to spend another 12 years like it.

Would love to hear if anyone else has lost on it.

Hi have started my healthy lifestyle don't want to call it a diet. Haven't tried Cambridge diet myself but just wanted to cheer you on

Good for you OnTheWay - I've never done the CD but have ordered an equivalent which is due to arrive on Thurs so I shall start on Friday. I'm at least a stone overweight but cannot stick to a 'normal' diet & so have ordered this diet called the Kee Plan. This follow the same basis of the CD. Hope it helps & that you can maintain your motivation - good luck

Ontheway-I have started the Cambridge Diet again today.
I successfully did the diet in 2006 and lost 4 stone in 3 months and found it very easy.I then fell pg with ds2 and put on a huge amount of weight and have put on more since.
I've got about 10 stone to lose but determined to lose half of that by the time we go on holiday in June.
Good luck with the diet-it definately works and gives results fast...if you have the will power.

Good luck to both of you. I'll be starting again tomorrow after having a break for a holiday. Its so hard to get back into it once you've stopped so make sure you stick to it!

Bubbaloo · 17/02/2009 11:22

Thanks and good luck to you too.
Doing the diet after a break is very hard, but as long as you're in the right frame of mind, you'll be fine.

CD very good - wish you well with it. Similar to Lighter Life which I did and lost 3 stone .

Stick with it and just add another meal or drink more water if you feel you are slipping, are you doing sole source??

Good luck!

Good luck! I lost 3 stone in 3 months and once you have done it for a couple of weeks and the weight is really dropping then you get really motivated. I would echo what champagne said - if you are hungry just drink some more water or have a bouillon drink or some peppermint tea!

I am sure you will do really wellxx
