Aches and pains after exercise

As part of my new me plan I have joined the passport for health scheme (means I get cheap sessions at the gym for 3 months). I started going 4 weeks ago and since then have suffered all sorts of aches including back ache and hip pain. Is this normal and if so how long will it go on for.

Hope someone can help.

Good luck xx

You get Passport to Health through your GP and local authority. You have to have either a medical condition that would imporve through exercise or be very overweight. Once I had been referred by my GP it took about 3 months for the local authority to approve it.

I think the idea is that they hope you will get to love exercise so that you will continue after the 3 months is up.
