Slimming World when pregnant. How many As and Bs can I have?

I've done Slimming World on and off for a couple of years since I had my DS. I put on 4 stone with him and it was a real mission losing all the weight afterwards, but I was really successful and I ended up losing 8 pounds more than I was pre-pregnancy.

I'm now 17 weeks pregnant with DC2 and I've already put on 10 pounds. I think my body just loves to grow huge during pregnancy. I suffer from chronic SPD in pregnancy and this is only made worse by the weight, it also makes it harder to burn off the calories as I was bed-ridden at the end of my last pregnancy (hence the massive weight gain).

I know that I need my midwife's permission to take part, and I will get that, but I really can't afford to do the classes as money's really tight, and was just going to follow it at home. More to limit the weight gain than to lose any of my original weight (if you see what I mean).

Does anyone know how any extra As and Bs you can have during the second and third trimesters? I'm very clued up with the diet as a whole, so I know what works for me and what doesn't. Has anyone done this before?

I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.

I tried to carry on but morning sickness got best of me. Consultant told me that you just have an extra A[dairy] but otherwise its the same. I am 15wks now and going to try again after the new year so maybe we could do it together.

I will try and dig out the pregnancy info sheets she gave me later.

Thanks so much Nemostwonderfultimeoftheyear. That's really useful info.

It's the As I struggle with (though more cheese would be good!) I could do with an armful of Bs!!

I had horrendous MS with my DS and I really sympathise. You just have to eat anything you can that stays down. I lived off plain Hula Hoops and Mini Babybels. Managed to escape the worst of it this pregnancy tho.

Thanks again x

I've now heard something different from a friend who said her consultant said you can have an extra B in the third trimester. Oh well, I'll stick to an extra A til the third trimester...
