OH dear, another bad week for me!

46,958. and that even included a walk in the park followed by shopping on Friday evening.

I was running around the garden with the kiddies on Saturday, but I'm still only up to 12,500!

Tommy · 21/03/2005 13:45

Not great for me either
50,585
but better than last week
but at least it's now Spring!

Posey · 21/03/2005 21:22

Wahey
I came top, even beating MadameButterfly. I'm so pleased that I'm getting past the 70,000 steps, not that I'm coming top!

I'm hoping that its going to keep increasing as I prepare for the Moonwalk. Today I did a 10.5 mile power walk which for me is over 21000 steps. Not sure if I'll fit in another one this week but have got to say it is a VERY long time since I've felt this healthy and I'm sure its to do with all this walking.

Good luck to everyone else this week, possibly harder as its Easter holidays.

Earlybird · 21/03/2005 21:30

Congratulations on a good week last week Posey, and well done for your ambitious walk today. I'm afraid I'll be bottom of the heap this next week as both dd and nanny are ill. Means that my walking is pretty much limited to around the flat. Oh well, there's always next week......

MadameButterfly · 21/03/2005 23:08

I will not be coming top next week either.

I am at mums for another week and we tend to go out in the car doing lots of visiting when I and up. So not much chance of getting lots of walking done.

Thanks for the info from last week's thread coppertop.

Hmm, didn't do as well as I thought. I caught a dreadful flu bug for a start, only just recovering now. My Pedometer needs a new battery too .
But I did a 30 min walk yesterday, and am planning another at lunchtime.

Earlybird · 23/03/2005 20:15

DD is slowly recovering from her tummy bug and ear infection. We were able to leave the flat today for the first time since Saturday (other than to go to the chemist and doctor).

As I said earlier, I will have a pitiful total this week. In fact, it will be so bad that I thought it might amuse you all to know that so far my total for the entire week is 14,515!!

coppertop · 23/03/2005 20:46

I forgot to post my total. A miserly 42,741 for last week I'm afraid.

I'm hoping this week's will be better. I spent most of Saturday at the hospital with ds1 and would have been carted off somewhere if I'd jogged on the spot. I started today with a total of 17,000 but after a long walk this afternoon I am now up to 32,000+. I'm still aiming for that elusive 50,000.

Dingle · 23/03/2005 20:55

Come on the CT, WE can do it again!!!
I'm on 34,000 but can't imagine doing much now both kiddies are off school.
If the weather is OK I am dragging them both up to the library and on Friday I will have them both running around the gardens of dd's SN nursery looking for eggs!

coppertop · 23/03/2005 20:59

I was just thinking earlier about how my most motivated week was the one where we joined forces, Dingle.

I predict that I will be spending a fair amount of Good Friday marching on the spot while ds2 shouts "dop!" (stop) and ds1 hangs on to my leg to stop it moving (as happened on Monday!).

Dingle · 23/03/2005 21:04

I have even found myself amrching on the spot while brushing my teeth. Some mornings dd shouts over the stair gate on her bedroon door...nnnooo....noooo! but like a mean mum I shout yes...yes...and jog even faster!
I am worn out before breakfast most mornings!

MadameButterfly · 23/03/2005 22:20

I am on 44,000 for the week so far.

Dad and I took DD to Edinburgh zoo today. I had not realised it was built on such a steep hill, fun coming down, but not going up. DD had it easy as she was in te pushchair.

36,000 and counting..... Just need another 14,000 by tomorrow night........

Dingle · 24/03/2005 10:02

OK CT, lets both aim for 7000 (or more)today!
Doesn't look like I'll be walking to the library today, it's pouring, and I think my mum would like a lift there so that she can get some large print books to read on dialysis.
I'm on 35,500 so I need to reach 42500!
Are you up for another little challenge CT?
We can both be march round our houses like mad women!

coppertop · 24/03/2005 15:56

I'm up to 39,600. Just another 3,400 to get to my 7,000 for today.

Dingle · 24/03/2005 16:00

I am just about to burst into a short sprint! I am still only on 37,000!

coppertop · 24/03/2005 16:06

Today was ds1's last day of school before the Easter holidays so I used up some extra steps by going to collect him. Ds2 has actually fallen asleep so that's one less child to stop me in my marching crusade.

coppertop · 24/03/2005 22:14

Hurray! After lots of marching on the spot while cooking tea I've now done 43,100 steps so far this week. I've managed my 7,000+ for the day!

sunnyskies · 27/03/2005 21:01

Ooops started mine this morning - will start again properly on Saturday - sorry - hope its ok to join in
