Am feeling really peeved off - have put on weight and hardly eat anything!

I put on my jeans today and they feel tighter than they have been (have lost 2+ stones over the past year)
I have put on 4lbs over the past week (not totm) and I really don't eat much (lots of fruit, no junk, small eve meal).

I know I need to exercise more but I have a husband who works late hrs, no babysitters, a 3 yr old and a toddler who doesn't sleep through at night. Frankly, I'm fed up and moany.

whinge whinge moan. Just had to let it all out.

Maybe I need a kick up the arse. Anyone got sturdy boots on?

Have you been eating more savoury foods lately than you usually do? If you really haven't upped your calories then it's probably a bit of fluid retention caused by salty foods.

Drink lots of water and try to eat fruit and vegetable based meals tomorrow and I bet that you'll be 2lbs less the next day!

If it's not fluid retention and you're not overeating then upping the amount of exercise you get is probably the answer. I know you have a three year old and a toddler but that shouldn't stop you getting out of the house. Just a quick walk to the shops and back again ( To buy milk not Toblerone! ) gets you moving. Another good way to exercise is on a mini trampoline. They're not expensive and it's very easy to fit in 20 minutes or so every day.

I know how you feel as I've put on a few lbs recently. All my own fault though as I made the mistake of eating lots of chocolate to cheer myself up when I hurt my back. Am back on track now though. Walking every day and using the trampoline. I was 9st 4lbs this morning ( Usually weigh 8st 12lbs - 9st 2lbs ) and want to get back down to under 9st by Christmas.

Will you post again next time you weigh yourself?

Good luck!

Maybe it is fluid retention. I am going to be quite strict for the next few days and do an exercise dvd in the evenings.

The only thing I've realised thats changed is that I've just stopped bfing. I was only doing one night time feed but it was obviously helping me!
I probably need to reduce my calories a bit more now. Darn!

Did you weigh yourself after your evening meal? If I weigh myself after my evening meal I can have put on up to 3lbs but it is usually gone by the next morning.
