Ive been wishing this for ages!!!

I bet you could lose that with the help of Mireille Guiliano's French Women don't get fat Leek Soup thing for a couple of days:

Magical Leek Soup (Broth)

Serves 1 for the weekend

Ingredients

2 pounds leeks

  1. Clean the leeks and rinse well to get rid of sand and soil. Cut off the ends of the dark green parts, leaving all the white parts plus a suggestion of pale green. (Reserve the extra greens for soup stock.)
  1. Put the leeks in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes. Pour off the liquid and reserve. Place the leeks in a bowl.

The juice is to be drunk (reheated or at room temperature to taste) every 2 to 3 hours, 1 cup at a time. For meals, or whenever hungry, have some of the leeks themselves, 1/2 cup at a time. Drizzle with a few drops of extra-virgin olive oil and lemon juice. Season sparingly with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if you wish.

This will be your nourishment for both days, until Sunday dinner, when you can have a small piece of meat or fish (4 to 6 ounces -- don't lose that scale yet!), with 2 vegetables, steamed with a bit of butter or olive oil, and a piece of fruit.

Pretty extreme but so is 4-5lb in less than a week!
Good luck!

Iv been maintaining my weight since reaching target in April with ww.I have fluctuated by about 5 1bs going up and down regularly.Im going out on frid night and just want to be at my lightest as the trousers I will be wearing are a little tighter than I want them to be so its really inches I would like to lose rather then weight.
Has anyone heard of these body wraps? What are they all about?
I dnt care if it goes back on the next day.Any advice or ideas pls?

At least 1/2 hour of vigorous exercise each day e.g. very fast walking.
No dairy, red meat, wheat, caffeine or processed sugar.

breakfast: porridge made with water

snack: fruit or a few nuts

lunch: big salad with fish/chicken or big salad with chickpeas/beans

snack: fruit or a few nuts (whichever you didn't have earlier)

dinner: vegetables and fish/chicken or brown rice with vegetable and bean curry or chilli

Yeh the wraps... they tested all the home ones on this morning the other day and the best one was 'the sanctury wrap' the girl lost 8 cms from all over in just under an hour, they said this will only last a few days so id say use it if you only want it for fri night

Apparently you can lose about 7lbs if you talk to the 'juicing' people (see thread about juicing)

nappyaddict · 15/11/2008 23:34

Juicing is fab I have been doing that plus a 20 minute run.

bignose · 16/11/2008 21:27

Its such a shame as juicing sounds gr8 but there is no way I can afford it,even just for 5 days.Thank you for the help though.

nappyaddict..... is it easy to keep up?

Iv only got a VERY good smootie maker which pours the drink out a filtered tap, would this not work?
I think my friend has a juicer if not she might let me borrow for awhile!!!

Im really up for doing juicing, some people have said dont do it without the book tho

nappyaddict · 17/11/2008 15:30

bignose - do you have a netto/aldi or lidl near you? i didn't find it that expensive using these places and i got a whole fruit juicer for £19.99 from tesco.

The first 3 days are the hardest and you really do have to go cold turkey. I failed the first time cos I kept thinking one little snack wouldn't hurt and then kept craving them. If you completely cut everything out your body gets used to it after a few days and you really don't crave food.
