Dear All, I have now decided that drastic action is required to lose weight. I caught myself in mirror this morning after I came out of shower and was sickened by what I saw. I have a just turned 2yo dd and don't want to be the frumpy fat mummy who cant run round at the park with her. I am 5ft 11in and weigh around 15.5 stone and am size 18. I need to lose around 3 stone, however I have been recommeded WW or RC and need advice on which one to do and some tips on how to stick at it. xx

Hi,
I think it depends on your eating habits and how much you want to change them TBH. Although with both diets there are allowances made for ready meals. Most RC diets allow for you to have 1 alcoholic drink per day in your daily allowance, plus you get to choose extras. WW is a bit more time-consuming with the counting, but you do get to eat whatever you like. I have treid and succeeded with both in the past. I like the RC exercises, she can be a bit smug but they seem to work.
FWIW I am currently doing Slimming World and not doing too well
Good luck, HTH

7 years ago I lost 2 stone by going to a RC class and I didn't put it back on again until I fell pregnant last year - DS is now 5 months old. I agree with Rita - RC can be a bit smug, but I like her exercises - both on DVD and in classes.

At the moment, however, I am also trying to decide between the two. I really want to do RC again, but WW do a specific plan for breastfeeding mums (that's me) so I may give them a shot. I tried them before I did RC last time, but can't remember why I didn't lose the weight. Probably a combination of faffing with points and me not being ready to lose the weight anyway!!

Good luck Emmy x

I joined RC class just over a year ago and have lost 2 1/2 stones since then and during that time I have conceived and given birth to my little boy now 3 months old! I did the exercise class until I was 2 days overdue and started back when my little one was 2 just over a week old!! I have no experience of ww sorry.

WW is fantastic, you will not feel like you are dieting, nothing is restricted and its just so easy! The weight loss is steady and you will see results. Check out the website, its fab. Good luck!
