Thank you for your motivational words Weveallbeenthere - would you like to move into my front room? You could sit by the door (you can have the armchair) and refuse to let me near the 'naughty drawer' in the kitchen!
Don't worry about the chocolate thederkinsdame - you had a good day up to that point so you probably had a few calories to spare, iyswim. I bet you burnt a few running round after a toddler too!
Are we going to set goals for ourselves? Something to aim for?
I have never done WW or any other slimming club as I don't see how going to a meeting will make you any more motivated when you are at home, especially if you have to faff about counting points or sins or whatever. But I was trying to think about what it is that motivates people to keep going and I wonder if it is to do with having an achievable goal.
To my shame, my mother is doing WW and doing really well and her first goal was to lose 10% of her weight which she did reasonably quickly.
Should we aim to do that? For me that would be 23lb (you can work my weight out now if you have a mind to ).
There are 12 weeks to Christmas so unless I lose about 2lb a week every week that isn't really achievable and that sounds a bit hard. I was wondering if I could do it by the end of January which gives an extra 5 weeks and that is less than 1.5lb a week so 2lbs some weeks but only a lb on others.
We could all treat ourselves to some new spring clothes when they hit the shops although probably your 10%s are doable by Christmas as I don't suppose you have as much to lose as me.
So what do you think?
Oh sorry, that was a bit long.
