Hi all! Have lost another 3lb!! I know I'll slow down though as that was due to our holiday at home where we just went out walking on footpaths for hours exploring, so I got more exercise in than I usually would do. I also measure on my belt and I'm down 4 holes!

I do 100 crunches a night, it was absolute agony at first, but I know I feel better when I have more stomach tone.

I hope I can keep this up as summer fades.

On the bad side, the dieting seems to have done something to my gallbladder/gallstones and I've been having more attacks so am eating barely any fat which you think would be good, but it's miserable and today I compensated with sugar and had two bags of sweets. Must have more self-control.

RGPargy · 22/08/2008 09:53

Von73 - sounds like you've been active yesterday!! I'm sure you well and truly deserved the wine.

Summat - Well done on the loss!! Great going! Cant believe you do 100 crunches a night. You must be a glutton for punishment lol! Keep it up tho!

PinkChick · 22/08/2008 13:26

Hi everyone

Well Done summatandnowt, i take my hat off to you and your stomache crunches

my calf muscles are still aching from aqua aerobics wed night!

Well had good week this week, am making my own chicken parmeseans tonight with lots of salad.yumm

question!?...i bought lemons yesterday to squeeze/add to my water / tea, i drank 5 glasses just last night while watching t.v after shopping and had two glasses today......is this 'meant' to give you lots of wind??..is that how the lemon detoxes you intoxicates everyone else???
cant think f anything else ive eaten/drank to do this?, stomache is rumbling like mad too???

Hi everyone.

Haven't long got into work - i had to go to the dentist because last night on the way home from work my TOOTH FELL OUT!!!! OK, so it was my crown and not my actual tooth but it's one of those things that is a real phobic nightmare for me and i HATE the idea of not having any teeth haha!! So i had to ring up the dentist this morning and beg and plead with them to see me as it just needed cementing back in place. Phew! The cement takes 2 days to dry tho so guess who's gonna be eating soup all weekend!

Hope you're having a nice day everyone.

PinkChick · 22/08/2008 15:05

ooh, you'll have a fab weightloss this week RG

Evening all and well done on weight losses, none this week but none put on and I have over indulged and coming up to TOTM so really please about that. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

bran · 23/08/2008 11:33

I forgot to post yesterday, but I've lost 0.2kg. Not much I know but I'm not that worried. I'm counting on speeding up the rate of loss once term starts (roll on 4th September, I can't wait) and I have time to go to the gym. I've had a few days of feeling off, not ill exactly just low energy and knackered generally. I am prescribing myself some intensive lolling on the sofa with some good DVDs to recover.

How are the teeth RGPargy? Hope you're chewing again soon. And how's your wind PC? (My sense of humour is very unsophisticated in some areas, I still think farting is as funny as I did when I was five. )

PinkChick · 23/08/2008 20:20

well done BRan..no idea how much that is as i can only work in pounds, but a loss is a loss..well done!

havent had the lemon water today and have stopped parping!..so muct be that!???

just been quite naughty and had 3 slices of pizza hut pizza(but DID get italian base instea dof stuffed crust if that helps???)
not gone mad today though, cereal for brekky..lunch was a little bun with ham and tomatoes in and then this for dinner, it was really late (7pm) and we were still at friends having ahd no tes, neither had dd, so called there on way home.

could have so easilly got T8ts up today as we've been out all day in town/ retail park with lots of fattening/sweet foods about (millies cookies, dunkin dohnuts etc), but i said no as thinking about it, i didnt actually fancy them i would have been slipping back into old Pink's shoes

going swimming with dd in morn, so will try and do a bit to compensate for pizza

im still stuck for batehrs for hol???..saw nice sports one today, was halter neck which is unusual but the back was cut way low and my rolls were on full veiw..just couldnt do it!
plus side though, i had to buy new knckers today as my size 20/22's were falling down something terrible and finally got settled on size 16's ..dead pleased

off to sort out dp's hol clothes with him, so take care everyone, enjoy the rest of the bank hol weekend and see you all sn.xx

Five - oh well, at least it's not a loss

Bran - well done on your loss! The tooth is fine now thanx (phew!!). I'm still not supposed to eat hard stuff on it for another day or so because the cement has to set first, but so far it isn't proving to be too much of a problem.

Pink - yummy pizza!! my fave!! Well done for not pigging out today - great will power!

i have been curtain hunting today and finally opted for a cheap pair from B&Q. They're like velor stuff and are lined so are quite nice and hang well. DD has the same ones in her room and i've not regretted buying them so it was only a matter of time before i bought them for the front room. Think i've bought them too narrow tho because i got one of the packet and put it up against the window and there is hardly any spare material, which means that when the curtains are drawn it'll just be like having a bit of material over the window because there'll be no extra folds, if that makes sense???? I'm going to exchange them tomorrow for the wider ones.

DP is decorating the front room at the moment - lots of painting, filling, sanding etc going on. We have no flooring at the mo. We did have laminate but we very willingly ripped it up so now it's just floor boards until the CARPET () gets fitted on Wednesday!!!! Cannot wait!! Seems ages since i've walked on carpet. We moved here a year ago and the whole house (literally!) is done out with the cheapest of cheap laminate which makes it very very echo-ey and very cold! I dont mind laminate in one or two rooms, dont get me wrong, but i do like nice carpet under foot in the bedroom so we cant wait to get that sorted too. At least i can let DD play on the floor without the constant fear that she will fall over and bang her head on the hard flooring!

Anyway, enough of my waffling! Hope you all have a great weekend.

Hi all, I'm being a bit feeble this week, but counting on term starting next week to increase my activity level.

I haven't been doing enough exercise but I've worked out that it's all DH's fault (it usually is ) as he has been home for nearly 2 weeks and my sleep pattern is up the creek. I reckon I've been getting about 2 hrs a night less sleep than I need so it's no wonder I'm not in the mood to exert myself. He's going back to Amsterdam on Sunday so next week will be more 'normal' I guess.

hi everyone.

Went to WW on monday to get weighed and no one had turned up!! Our leader normally just does a weigh in session on bank holidays but she is on holiday so no one was there to weigh us. Oh well, let's hope that i can lose a little by the next weigh in on Monday!

Hope you've all had a good week so far.

PinkChick · 27/08/2008 19:33

off to aqua aerobics now to burn those bloody crispy cakes off!

OP posts:
PinkChick · 28/08/2008 08:45

buggeration!..aqua fat was cancelled cos apparently the 'music system' blew up last week????...it was a cd player FFS!, i could have lent them mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so did some half arsed (not really having a clue what im doing) stretches, lunges and went in bath (to get the water excersize effect

Sooooo..today am taking kids to park and WILL runa round with them like headless chicken, burning off some much needed extra calories!

Have good day everyone

OP posts:
bran · 28/08/2008 13:11

LOL at "aqua fat", I'm sure they actually call it "aqua fit" or something equally aspirational

I went to the park this morning with ds and his friend, but far from running around I plonked myself down on a bench and gossiped until it was time to come home. My trainer will be here in an hour though, so I'll but a bit off then.

PinkChick · 28/08/2008 14:42

are you a bit posh then Bran??..a personal trainer!!

we ran around in park for couple of hours, walked into vilage for picnic things for lunch and went to mums for cold drink..so lots of walking today..off to food shop tonight am going to get more fruit AND make myself eat it

OP posts:
bran · 28/08/2008 15:37

I don't think having a trainer is a measure of poshness, more a measure of desperation (see this thread). You are right to be though, who wouldn't want a handsome young man telling you how wonderfully well you're doing when you're red in the face and panting.

Although I am possibly genuinely posh by superficial standards, I say "loo" instead of "toilet", I scoop my soup spoon away from me etc. In the purest sense I am very posh because I always travel to Malaysia (where DH comes from) on the North side of the plane away from the sun. That's what POSH stands for originally (Portside Out, Starboardside Home), it was chalked on the luggage of the passangers who paid the higher fare on boats to the Eastern colonies like India.

I'm quite of your fruit, since the diabetes diagnosis I can hardly have any and I miss it, especially mangoes. [drool emoticon]

RGPargy · 28/08/2008 15:55

I never knew that about the origin of "POSH", bran! You learn something new every day!
