I have lost some weight in the summer and felt great, but September was a disaster and bad habits crept back in big time and i am feeling like a bloated balloon again. I am not overweight but feeling unhealthy and my face feels puffy and spotty again. So i need to get back to the better me before it gets out of control completely.

Anyone would like to join me in 4 weeks ( to start with) of not eating rubbish food and feeling better?
My plan is:

No chocolate ( i am addicted and can't even have 90% every day as i will eat the whole bar)

No biscuits, no sweets or any sugary treats.

No nuts or crisps- no portion control with those either.

I can have an apple or an orange a day .

Basically not buying anything that has sugar in it as it always ruins everything for me.

Snack on greek yoghurt/ cottage cheese with chia seeds or an oatcake with butter or cottage cheese.
I am starting tomorrow-the 18th.

Good luck. I'm on weight loss injections and have managed to lose a lot of weight (6 stone) but honestly I'm finding it almost impossible to stop eating the small bar of chocolate after dinner.

Sugar is a huge addiction I agree. I will watch your post with interest as I wish I could stop this habit after a meal and just stick with fruit which I can do at lunchtime.

My own defence is that I have given up alcohol and vaping together last year and that bit of chocolate after dinner has now turned into the next addiction!

I know its so soul destroying,, i am actually not too bad for around 17 days, but straight after ovulation and till my period finishes i just have no control, i have no problem with alcohol i can have a glass of wine and that is is but chocolate oh no 2 bars of dark chocolate since yesterday and a 200g packet of nuts , i literally feel sick.

Every third day I allow myself some chocolate. Lost nothing ☹️

I want to give up sugar, or at least massively reduce. The problem is I always end up eating loads of nuts and cheese!

I work across 5 different offices, so I am often travelling. Yoghurts and cottage cheese are not great travelling snacks!

Yes, please! I have to do all or nothing - even having a bit sends me on a spiral of bingeing on sugar.

OldFatLadyTriesAgain · 17/10/2026 19:08

I’ll join you on chocolate and as much other sweet stuff as possible. I can’t stop once I start, and it always turns into a binge until there’s nothing left.

Yes please me too.

Before I saw this thread, I did resist a jam tart today so will take it as a sign to join you @muststopeatingcrap

i could have written your post OP. Sugar is my downfall and what ruins it for me each and every time.
I do hope i can join in and keep motivated …..it’ll be one day at a time for me. Lately I’ve fallen straight back into a pile of cakes.

RoarLionRoar · 17/10/2026 22:22

No cakes, chocolate, biscuits for 11 weeks and have lost 11lb

muststopeatingcrap · 19/10/2026 14:25

I hope everyone is doing well. I have so far stuck to my plan ( i know hasn't been too long), even went shopping yesterday and didn't buy anything that could spoil everything for me.

Impressive! @RoarLionRoar was it very difficult? Are you still avoiding these foods?

I need to avoid so much behaviour and emotion. Even daily habits like trying to avoid the corner shop when I’m out, or keeping control of the tesco online delivery, or not being distracted by just-eat ads.

Anyway, I cut back yesterday and today, and decided to look out some knitting. Even just a very simple scarf for when I’m relaxing with tv or audiobook.
