Has anyone lost a lot of weight quickly, I’m talking 6 stone in 3 months.

I go to the gym and do weight lifting, but I need to lose weight quickly and have no idea how to do it. I eat healthy, take supplements but my weight is staying the same, though I do drink alcohol at the weekends 😳

Has anyone lost weight quickly and safely before? And if so how did you do it.

You want to lose 6 stone, or 84lbs in 3 months? Is there a typo there?

That's about 6.5lbs a week assuming 3 months is 13 weeks. That's not just a lot of weight, that's a virtually impossible rate of weight to lose. It's also not safe, there's no way it could be.

I lost 53lbs in the first 13 weeks of taking Mounjaro, but my starting weight was very high (22st) and I was fortunate that it starting working for me from day 1. And I was concerned at the time that it was too much too fast.

If you don't want to take medication or aren't able to access it, then you'd be looking at something like Fast 800 or a VLCD meal replacement plan in order to lose a lot of weight quickly. You risk developing gallstones and muscle wastage if your only priority is rapid weight loss. An average of 2 bs a week is plenty to be losing consistently.

Six stone in three months sounds extremely ambitious, and I’d be really wary of trying to lose that much that quickly. If you’re already lifting weights and eating reasonably well, I’d focus on finding a sustainable calorie deficit rather than chasing a huge weekly loss. Alcohol at the weekends can add up more than you realise too, so that might be worth looking at alongside everything else

I don’t think it’s possible to do this safety. What is the rush? Keep on with lifting and hit protein target.

Try eating only lean protein (150g a day protect muscle), pulses and cruciferous veg. Nothing else, not even at weekends.

Even then I think 1-2kg a week is prob the limit. I lost 12kg in 12 weeks last year following the diet above and using WLI to help manage appetite.

Six stone in three months would be an extremely rapid amount of weight loss and isn’t something I’d try to pursue without medical supervision. If your weight has stalled despite healthy eating and exercise, it would be worth discussing that with your GP and looking at the overall picture, including alcohol intake and any underlying factors

That can’t be right?
i lost 9 stone over 9 months and kept it off for 7 years now, that felt fast.

@caraW88 , this response is what I would say too. I lost 6.5 stone on Mounjaro but it took me 15 months, maybe a bit more. It takes us a long time to put the weight on and it takes a while to get it back off.

That’s not possible safely, you’d be bald by the end of it and lose so much muscle you’d barely be able to walk.

to lose 6 and a half pounds a week. You’d heed a daily defecit of 3500. You would need to literally starve yourself whilst working out to extreme to acrually burn 3500 a day.

in 3 months safely you can lose just over 2 stone.
