So i know I gained alot of weight in pregnancy being a problem solver.. I just threw the scales out it was exhilarating. Here I am now 12 weeks after having baby girl and a c section looking like a strung up pork joint in my old nightie. I ladies did you ever get your figures back if so how long did it take big t shirts and trackies aren't the way forwards for me at 35 🙈

Certainly not 12 weeks. I was going to the gym after about a year and started looking better. Then got pregnant again when baby was 15 months old and I'm back at square 1. Negative 1, actually. The apron is very depressing, isn't it?

Honestly don't know if you have this luxury but mine is all wonky the left side hangs over more than the right it really isn't cute 😩 and still feels swollen some how. Don't know how some folk just ping back in shape been walking miles and still look a big hen my size 10 wardrobe feels impossible at min 😂

I had two babies (one huge one) via c-section, 4 years apart. I know it’s so so hard to do now, but please be kind to yourself. That baby girl took nearly a year to make, and you were nearly cut in half to being her into the world.
Fuck the snapping back bullshit we are made to think we should do, or else we have somehow failed.
i hate to tell you, but your stomach probably never will look the same, or feel the same. But at 12 weeks you’re still quite early recovery for having had major surgery. Give yourself closer to 6 months, wear supportive pants/vests/clothes for the tissue as it heals and the swelling goes down, and lay off the ab exercise altogether for months yet. Like you I despaired and did too much too early and nearly 20 years later have domed abs for life.
Enjoy your baby, thank your goddess of a remarkable body for what it’s achieved and move regularly but gently, and eat mindfully. You’ll get there.

Took me 9 months after my first emergency C-section and I was smaller than pre pregnancy by that point, I’m 8 months postpartum from my 2nd with a planned C-section and nowhere near where I’d like to be. I don’t weigh much more than what I started at but everything sits different now and I look a lot bigger than I am due to my proportions changing. It can take up to 2 years to recover after a baby though! Maybe longer for a C-section? I will say my body wasn’t ever the same again after my first, my stomach was wrinkled and I had some wobbly skin, now it’s beyond saving without surgery. But my last baby was 9lb 2! I think we can be so critical of ourselves and 12 weeks is nothing you’re not even remotely healed on the inside yet!

It took me 2 1/2 years to get back to pre baby weight with both of my children but my body absolutely didnt look at all the same . I hold weight in new places and the c-section pouch is a permanent feature but I’m ok with that !
