Just wondering if anyone does it and want to chat about it?
It dawned on me recently that at the weekends, I have my breakfast around 1pm and during the week I am not really bothered with breakfast until closer to lunch time.
Only have a little bit of weight to lose, just under 5’4 and currently 63kg (Approx 10st). Would love to get it to 59/60kg depending on how I feel.
Also trying to do this to give myself a break from constant snacking especially at work and be more mindful of my eating habits. So my eating window is 12-8 so I don’t eat from after 8pm until 12 noon the following day.Let me know if you have tried this.

I use this method and have done for a few years, I don't want to lose weight but it is for maintenance and to keep me out of the snack box at night! It also helps keep my blood sugars reasonably stable, as I was at one point getting towards the prediabetic stage on the HBa1c. Not anymore!

I break it for holidays, days out and special occasions, and that's fine for me.

I eat between 11am and 7pm. Nothing strict except I avoid cakes and crap where I can, with the odd treat.

I'm the same height as you and weigh 67kilos which is perfect for me. Maybe it's a little on the high side, but any lower like when I was ill last year and I look like a ghost on legs.

Not trying to dissuade you, it's your body etc. but do you really need to actually lose weight, sounds perfect at what you weigh now, but the regime is great for keeping it that way, that's for sure!

Thanks @panomaragreat to hear it is working well for you especially with your HBa1c.
I know it is 63kg but I carry weight around my thighs, stomach and have a slightly rounded face. Also I was starting to feel a bit heavier and clothes are a little bit snug. I feel like I am carrying a bit extra maybe that 3kg. I was ill in 2024 and off work for nearly 6 months and all of a sudden I weighed 64kg, that was a shock to the system. I have had 3 c sections, latest 5 years ago, so there is that to contend with. Also I have an autoimmune inflammatory condition that I am hoping it will help with.
When I was younger, I used to weigh between 49 and 51kg and used to be able to lose weight by dancing and yoga 3 times a week. Also used to be able to eat what I wanted but sadly no more 🤣
The main dietary difference for me now is I tend to snack more, sleep less and move less. Currently trying to address the sleep and movement.

Like you I want to use it for maintenance and have a bit of discipline. My diet is good but it can always be better so decided to do this. Appreciate your thoughts.

Hey, Im experimenting with IF too - I have been trying 16:8 since Sunday, also with a 12-8 eating window. I came back from my holiday 4lb lighter, probably because I wasn't snacking, and thought id try to capitalise on it.

I also had gestational diabetes so want to keep an eye on my blood sugars, my hb1ac is coming back ok at the moment but I'm conscious of the risks.

I only have half a stone I'd like to lose and only for vanity purposes really as I'm not overweight, just over my happy weight. I carry all my weight on my stomach so when theres a bit extra I look like a Weeble.

My biggest challenge is the kids leftovers, i don't particularly want to eat them but DH gets cross with them if there is food in the bin so I've been eating it off their plates. Breakfast leftovers is what made me accidentally break my fast on Sunday morning!

It seems easy ish so far although no weight lost yet
