14,847 steps today (tuesday).

@Joolly2 , fanstatic steps. That was a great walk. How was DDog afterwards? So chuffed? Had a nap when you got back?
@10kstepsaday , i totally get what you mean. 3 more weeks then DC are back in school. It's gone fast though.
@WorthySloth , 7909 is still plenty especially being at work. Welldone.
@Unfollowmethen , sometimes life gets in the way and it's hard to get the steps in, you are doing good getting your steps whenever you can. Boom & bust made me smile.
@Midlifeshenanigans , just checking in. Hope that's alright. How are things?
@Snowcanwait , how is it going?

Thanks for checking in! Today was 7500. I was working today and usually need to add in an extra walk to get to 10k which I will do tomorrow and will report back!

Onegramatatime · 13/08/2026 00:49

14,736 steps today (Wednesday).

@Midlifeshenanigans , that's some good steps. Hope things ease up.

@Snowcanwait , well done!!

Joolly2 · 13/08/2026 07:31

Yesterday's total was 8.5k. Today will likely be a lot lower, the weather forecast is horrific.
@Onegramatatime Ddog loves his morning walks, we are lucky to have some deeply shaded walks with a stream to cool off in. I suffer more than him, the effort is too much for me. I am on day 4 of no naps.😀

WorthySloth · 13/08/2026 14:18

5794 yesterday. Today will probably be similar. This weather is so draining!

Snowcanwait · 13/08/2026 17:42

11562 today! Woo. I think I’m aiming for every other day at the moment.

Joolly2 · 14/08/2026 08:07

7,500 steps yesterday. I am so hot 🥵. If this is a taster of hell I am going to have to change my ways. I can't spend eternity like this.

WorthySloth · 14/08/2026 08:10

5236 yesterday. Currently in the car for a weekend away so will improve my steps for the week 🤣🤣

10kstepsaday · 14/08/2026 21:46

9.5K yesterday
7.1k today during this horrendous heatwave

Please tell me that's it now 😅
Did anyone else panic at the 7pm alert? I thought at first it meant there was a wildfire near me, we are surrounded by crop fields 😲

7,649 steps today. Just went out to shut the garden gate and there is a strong cool breeze blowing. It feels so refreshing, didn't want to come in. The temperature is definitely dropping. 🎉🎉🎉

WorthySloth · 15/08/2026 10:01

12721 yesterday. Currently still in bed 🤣🤣

Onegramatatime · 16/08/2026 00:06

Thursday - 2269 steps
Friday - 2784 steps
Today - 2232 steps
Not been feeling too great.

I did panic at the alert. A couple of days ago, some man was stopped from deliberately trying to start a fire in the forest behind our homes.
I think it’s a police worthy crime but they didn't show up. It's so dry around us.. all the grass and small plants are dried up.

Your walk sounds lovely. I asked if DDog had a nap afterwards because it reminded me of my dog walker days... I used to walk this springer spaniel and 4 other dogs. The spaniel was so active we often ended up doing much longer walks than planned. Other dogs would get home and have a nap/good sleep but he would just be so excited from being outdoors & would be so active!

Joolly2 · 16/08/2026 08:43

Yesterday's total was 10k plus a few crumbs.
@Onegramatatime dog rarely sleeps after a walk but does have a slump in the afternoon. Probably copying me. 😁 He has always kept human hours. He goes to bed at 7.00pm and sleeps through till 8.00am. He doesn't sleep much during the day, too frightened he's going to miss something. Now the weather is cooling I am trying to stop my afternoon naps, I just don't get anything done.
Can't understand people deliberately starting fires. There should be really severe punishments for those who do it. Can't belive the police didn't come out.

10kstepsaday · 16/08/2026 18:24

Yesterday just 5.9K
Today so far 6.9K
Lost my groove a bit!!

So glad it is cooler though now!!
Agree there should me more severe punishments for arsonists!!!! So awful for those affected and the firefighters working day and night in awful conditions to put these fires out!

Yesterday I managed 7.5k.
@Onegramatatime hope you are feeling better today.
@10kstepsaday Hope you find your groove again. Mine also keeps going AWOL.

WorthySloth · 17/08/2026 12:13

11618 yesterday. Was on my feet all day at a music festival absolutely brilliant weekend tbh

Joolly2 · 17/08/2026 22:38

@WorthySloth I'm jealous, I've never been to a music festival. What sort of musical genre do you like?
I've finished the day on 8,305 steps

Onegramatatime · 17/08/2026 23:46

Yesterday - 2601 steps
Today - 3193 steps

@Joolly2 , gradually getting better, thank-you. Love how you said your groove also keeps going AWOL!😆
I wonder if they all go to same place (as mine) and talk about us?

@10kstepsaday , hope you get your groove back (like Stella).😁

WorthySloth · 18/08/2026 09:15

14849 yesterday 😊 this week isn’t going to be brilliant… driving home today work tomorrow then driving back up for a funeral on Thursday. Then work the rest of the week. Ah well out on Saturday 🍻

@Joolly2 I like all sorts of music but probably head towards the heavier sort of stuff. It was a 3 day modern music festival saw 21 bands and it cost £40 to see incredible live music meet the bands and a bunch of fantastic metalheads.

we just don’t discuss how much I’ve spent on hotel/beer/merch 🤣🤣

already booked for next year again 😊 cost £33 with fees for early bird tickets. Bargain.

10kstepsaday · 18/08/2026 22:20

Well I found a bit of a groove today 🥳
I'm at 12 151! First time getting to over 10k for a WHILE.

I did something for some reason never occured to me before! I was working at one of my sites today that is 10 mins from the coast, normally I am rushing to get home for school pick up etc. but today my kids are with DH and so I had a lunch time stroll along the beach! It was grey but so peaceful! Saw some lovely dogs and a massive seagull and the cute beach huts. Really lovely.

I am not working near the coast tomorrow but plan on walking for 10-15 mins in the area I am in before driving home tomorrow too :)

11k today,very pleased with that.
@Onegramatatime love the idea of all the AWOL grooves meeting up to discuss us. 😁 I wonder what they would say?
@WorthySloth wow, brilliant value £40 for 21 bands. My husband pays more than double that to see one band for about 90 minutes.
@10kstepsaday you must be so pleased with your total today. Your walk along the beach sounds lovely and so good for the soul. A real boost in the middle of the day.

WorthySloth · 19/08/2026 06:52

5428 yesterday. This week is going to be terrible 🤣🤣 I already know it 🤣🤣

@Joolly2 I dread to think how much we spend on gig tickets 😭😭 we saw Metallica 3 times earlier this year. We go to something at least once a month but we are trying to see smaller bands now rather than the big ones. Costs me a fortune in merch tho 😭😭

10kstepsaday · 19/08/2026 22:24

6.6K today! And we had a lovely rain storm this evening! Hallelujah!!!
Hope everyone is doing ok!

Joolly2 · 20/08/2026 07:56

Just managed to get to 10k yesterday.
@10kstepsaday what is this rain you speak of, is it true it falls from the sky? Looking at the weather maps we may miss all the downfalls today. 😠
@WorthySloth Metallica - that takes me back to when my sons played them at full volume in their bedrooms. Often all playing different tracks at the same time. Poor neighbours, although they always said they didn't mind. I suspect they were closet fans.
@Onegramatatime how are you today.

WorthySloth · 20/08/2026 08:25

12409 yesterday. Today I am spending approximately 8 hours in the car and going to a funeral so not expecting many
