How to manage eating post WLI?

Ive had to stop wegovy. I had a few side effects which (may or may not!) have been caused by it. I also didn't ever feel the weight loss was significant enough to ignore the issues (skin sensitivity mainly, like a full body heat rash). How have those who have stopped WLI abruptly managed not to slip back into bad habits?

Probably not the best record here to give advice, as I ended up back on mine 😂 but I did lose significant weight and kept it off for years before gaining lots and my advice is to track calories for a good long time after. Obviously everyone is different but in my case weight gain every time is due to a sort of 'calorie blindness'. I think I'm being healthy but my portion sizes are creeping up and my snacks are increasing and I don't notice how much over my calories I'm getting as it's a slow process until I'm eating way too much again. Be as strict as you would be on any diet, if you eat it you log it (but without the deficit obviously) until you are confident you can do this without thinking. Then every so often log again for a few days and check you've not slipped back into the old ways. Other options are available but that's my best advice ATM.

@Desperatelydoomscrolling I'm using nutracheck and hoping that works!

I bought small pasta type bowls but side plate size, to help me manage portion size. Still juggling other dangers like alcohol and biscuits.

Can anyone share a good weight loss program

How did you approach the weight loss? If you changed up your diet and started eating healthier, perhaps kept an eye on calories, keep doing it. If you let the WLI do the heavy lifting and didn’t actively change then expect to regain and then some.

I know it’s not easy to maintain a healthy eating plan, that’s why I need WLI and probably forever. But if you have strong willpower and good habits you can do it!

I stopped eating junk really but my portion size didn't change much.... I've always done well on any diet, so long as I stick to the rules. As soon as I stop.......it's right back to bad habits. Diets just never change my brain or my food issues and although it's not happened yet I've only been off the jags for two or three weeks. So annoying.

I weigh myself daily (did throughout weight loss so I could understand the natural fluctuations of my body and not get stressed by a weekly weigh in) - and have a 3lb tolerance. I work on the basis it’s much easier to get back tracking and cut back for a short while than the weight to become half a stone, then a stone etc. It does need discipline and time will tell if it’s successful!

@Iwouldratherbemuckingout that's a good idea. I've always been a bit reluctant to do that as I worry it might be a bit obsessive but as you say it's easier to get on top of if you've only got a few lb to lose!
