I'm very unsure about whether WLIs would be right for me. I had some serious problems with nutrient deficiency and low energy/fatigue after losing a 3rd of my bowel in cancer surgery and although that is mostly past I am very cautious about doing anything that might trigger further complications in my digestion. I have been referred on to the Oviva programme and told that I'll have the option to request the WLIs if I decide it's the right option but they assert that the programme can also help with weight loss without WLIs if that is what I choose. I'm about 105kg and although for my height I apparently ought to be under 68kg I feel I look gaunt and haggard at anything less than 75kg (yes I've been there) and would be perfectly happy to reach 80kg.
I'd really like to know about anyone's experience of using Oviva without WLIs - if I'm only going to be told to eat less and move more then I don't have high hopes for it being valuable.
