Gastric bypass or Mini Gastric bypass?

Not sure if this is the right board - the wli doesnt seem like the right place, but do please tell me if not x

I had the sleeve two years ago. Lost a few stone and i'm now up for revision surgery

Does anyone have any experience of the mentioned surgeries?

He recommended the mini bypass to me, but i think that the risk of acid reflux puts me off

He said the mini bypass is better for weight loss, which really is my main goal

Please help?

I didn’t realise that gastric surgery got ‘revised’. Have I understood correctly, the first surgery wasn’t sufficient so you are having further surgery?

Can I ask whether you’ve tried any of the WLI? It seems a bit less drastic than surgery.

Mini gastric bypass as its reversible unlike gastric bypass. I got a mini and then got it reversed 15 months later due to too much weigh loss. It worked too well for me. I was 18.5 Stone so definitely morbidly obese but not as big as some.

I would love to have that problem. For me I dont think i will reverse it

I think though that reflux is bloody unpleasant so thats swaying me

Rhen again, the claim that I will lose more on the mini bypass is confusing me

Why have invasive surgery when you can try the weight loss injections which are incredibly successful for the vast majority of people who’ve been using them.

Ive had the mini, it’s worked perfectly. I have lost 11.5 stone. Its the best thing i ever did.
