The little things during weight loss

Anyone loving the little things during and after weight lose?

Mine is that the water in the bath covers my stomach. And my bladder seems stronger 🤭

I look forward to that day 🛁🐳

All my lovely clothes fit. I can shop in Zara without being a L or XL. My rings are loose.

NormalForNorfoIk · 06/05/2026 10:57

For the first time this weekend I went clothes shopping and loved it. Things fit how they should and I actually wanted to wear fitted things instead of baggy "forgiving" items, and the mirrors were not my enemy.
Yes to PP about loose rings! I've had to buy silicone twist on things.
I started my "new lifestyle" (absolutely not a diet) in September and will still continue on my weight loss -but can now really see the difference, absolutely chuffed.

The confidence boost it gives you. Picking a brighter colour of something and just smiling a lot more.

I have lost over a stone now and feeling better in myself and my clothes. I wish I enjoyed clothes shopping in person but I’m having fun online

My favourite pyjamas bottoms have been falling down. I’ve a way to go but this was a real morale boost

mustwashmycurtains · 06/05/2026 18:08

Dont however do what I did and make the mistake of getting smug and ordering denim shorts for your holiday.
Nothing reverses those good feelings about your trimmer new body faster than seeing it in shorts 😳🙄 I swear I’m three dress sizes down - not not according to the shorts……🤷🏻‍♀️

I can fit my fist in my bra cup! 😅

Comedycook · 11/05/2026 17:40

My bath towels wrap round me rather than having a huge gap!

CarelessWimper · 11/05/2026 18:28

Our general office wear is not particularly smart on 99% of days, but I had to go to an important meeting and so dug out my best work clothes and realised they went from huge on me to still need the next size down 😂

Its like yay I lost weight🥳 to oh pants I need to shop and pay for new formal wear to use every few months 😢

Yes!!!

I can do that really cool ‘gamine’ thing of sitting on a chair with my legs up in front of me so I can hug my knees. With zero discomfort.

I can also cross my legs twice and get fully round the opposite calf now my legs are so slim.

Particularly enjoy saying ‘do you have this one in an extra small’ when I go in Zara 😂

Collarbones! I love my collarbones, when I first started being able to see and feel them it was weird, I had never noticed their absence really. Now I find myself sitting thinking and stroking them idly. It’s really weird

fiftywheels · 11/05/2026 20:19

a little thing and in a way now more difficult!

much harder to shave my armpits now there is a hollow rather than a flat area padded by fat! Takes ages to get the right angle with the razor to get all the hairs and I have to shave in front of mirror now, but happy to suffer this! Smile
