Slimpod - anyone else?

I'm on Day 2 of my 10 day trial and I'm a bit confused. There are 2 pods that I have access to. Am I supposed to listen to one for a week then the next for a week or are they interchangeable?

Sorry if this is a stupid question - have watched the videos but still finding it a bit confusing!

Also how are you doing if you're following this plan?

There is the weight loss pod and you listen to that every day forever! The point is the repetition and they say there is neuro linguistic programming. You also have the chill pod and you can listen to that forever.

Each week for 12 weeks you get a lesson. That is where most of the information is about how things are supposed to work. There is slightly more than just listening to the pod and the weight instantly dropping off 😁 but it is strange and after listening for a week I no longer liked the taste of chocolate. But I'm very easily influenced!

There used to be a really supportive Facebook page but they closed that and brought it to the platform where the pods are hosted. There is a section for new starters, which might be able to help.

I did this alongside WLI. Not sure how useful it was, for me.
You should be able to play both consecutively. I listened to them as I went to sleep. Make sure the repeat button is on, if you want them to loop.
So listen to both of them every day.

Thanks for your replies - I've just realised there's only one weight loss pod, the other was just showing up as part of my playlist 🤦‍♀️.

Have just received an email which explains everything very clearly.

Well I wasn't expecting that! Just made myself a sandwich for lunch, along with some melon cubes.

I've just eaten half the sandwich and thought blimey I feel full. Is this down to Slimpod? I only started yesterday! I know I'm very suggestible, as I've been hypnotised before but genuinely surprised at this.

Although maybe it's just coincidence, but it's a very long time since half a sandwich has filled me up 😀

Just jumping on here as I signed up yesterday for the 10 day free trial. I listened to the pod last night and fell asleep as I was listening to it. Can't say it made any difference to my eating today, in fact I had a terrible day for eating and bout some m&s cookies on the way home! But will persist for at least the 10 days. I have 10 stubborn pounds to lose, thanks to perimenopause!

SpidersAreShitheads · 15/05/2026 22:27

How are you getting on @SourdoughSally ?

I am on Day 3 - can’t say I’ve noticed anything massive so far but I do find the pods relaxing to listen to. I used to have hypnotherapy so I do believe in it.

Although, I did have a pack of Aldi salted caramel brownies yesterday and I split them with DP. I had two brownies whereas normally if I open the pack I’d scoff all four 🫣

I’m quite optimistic that it might help but I think it might take a while.

SourdoughSally · 16/05/2026 13:51

Thanks for your replies. It didn't actually continue like that, so I'm guessing it was just a fluke!

I'm now on Day 17 and have noticed that I'm far more aware of what I'm eating and haven't gone beyond eating when I'm full.

I've lost 1kg so quite happy with that. I didn't want to crash diet so I'm hoping the slow and steady approach will continue to work.

Typtoe · 16/05/2026 17:29

1kg is a good start! I haven't weighed myself but am on day 5 now I think. I would normally have gotten myself a sweet treat when DS went to bed but last night I didn't even think about it. And today being a Saturday I would normally have had a sweet snack in the afternoon but have not had the craving for it. Still eating normal meals so can't imagine it will be a quick weight loss (did keto 800 before and lost than 10 pounds very quickly) but this seems much more sustainable. I'm feeling hopeful! Also sleeping better.

SourdoughSally · 24/05/2026 08:14

Well done @Typtoe it sounds like your mind is starting to change.

I've just been away for a few days and really ate and drank whatever I wanted, but I felt like I didn't overdo it. Weighed myself when I got home and was 0.2kg down. That's never happened after a holiday!

Am now on Day 24 (I think) and am 2kg down from the start, seemingly with no effort. Very happy with this and have signed up for the 12 weeks.

I'm also sleeping better and my resting heart rate has also dropped.

Thank you @SourdoughSally , sounds like it's working if you managed to lose whilst you were away! And very good going with the 2kg weight loss so far!

I've also signed up for the 12 weeks too. I'm down 3 pounds in just under 2 weeks which I'm pleased with as also no effort required aside from listening to the pods as I fall asleep. DH is mind blown as I'm usually constantly snacking but have felt no desire to since starting this. I don't feel I'm depriving myself as I think if I want a chocolate bar or a cake I'll have one, but I just haven't felt like it. Yesterday we stopped at a service station and I was hungry and I walked out with a banana - not sure that ever happened before! Anytime I've tried to lose weight before by cutting something out, I have found myself constantly thinking about the thing I've cut out so this feels really liberating.

Keep us updated with how it's going ☺️

SourdoughSally · 31/05/2026 09:54

It's so odd isn't it @Typtoe ? Maybe this is just how it used to feel before getting into a cycle of dieting and obsessing over food.

I usually weigh myself every morning, but following Sandra's advice I haven't stepped on the scales this week. That's been very hard as it's always my way of judging my success. I'm planning on weighing once a week to begin with, hoping to cut it out completely when I trust myself more.

Well done, and great that your DH has noticed.

Hi,
I have signed up for Slimpod too and came on here to see if there were any threads on it. I am at the beginning so it's early days but I am interested in feedback and support from people who have followed or are currently following the program.

SourdoughSally · 03/06/2026 18:55

Hi, currently a month in and finding that it seems to be working. However it's quite odd as I don't feel like I'm having to try, it just sort of works!

Hope it goes well for you too - keep us posted!

i am a couple of weeks in and have been a bit hit and miss in listening to the pods. Need to focus on following the program to see if it actually works.

I think spending 5 mins before you go to bed writing down the "wins" also makes a difference (I was very sceptical about this).

It sort of concentrates your mind on being more positive and it makes me feel like I won't give in and will crack on the next day.

I've listened to both pods every night - sometimes I fall asleep but I think that's ok!

OP posts:
JT12 · 04/06/2026 20:06

I do listen to the pods but need to be more consistent though. Will try writing the wins out to see if that helps.
