Have a fat stomach and waist. How do I get rid?

I have lost quite a bit of weight but my waist and stomach are still quite fat.
What type of exercise and equipment might help? I prefer to buy some type of equipment it seems to keep me more motivated

I’m a typical apple, so my tummy didn’t flatten until I got towards the lower end of my BMI.
If it’s all belly/waist it tends to be visceral fat, so cutting out sugar, refined carbs, healthy eating and regular cardio (even just brisk walking) really helps.
I’ve hammered the chocolate recently and the 4-5lbs I’ve put on have all gone straight to my tummy, as usual!

Unfortunately you cant spot reduce fat distribution but if you lower your bmi it will gradually reduce, along with the rest of you.

Toning up (building muscle) could help aesthetics - think russian twists holding a dumbell/kettlebell and deep core exercises.

You can't spot reduce but you can spot strengthen of course. Yoga and Pilates are great to help build a super strong core. There are tonnes of great videos on YouTube so you don't have to shed out for a class if you can't afford it.

Plus, getting upwards of 10k steps a day is a really good way of keeping it all ticking along

My carbs are already low. And sugar.

Thank i will tackle from the exercise side of things . I have just orded a smart core workout trainer and a twist and shape. Plus I have exercise bike.

Spanx.

Spanx.

I think they are ok if you just want your stomach to look neater under clothes. But for me at the moment I would just be squeezing fat else where and just get a muffin top.

I carry weight around my middle (am otherwise slim). The only thing that has helped is twice weekly intensive weights workouts with lots of core work. I don't enjoy it but it does feel good afterwards and although I'm waaaay off having a flat stomach it has taken a couple of inches off my waistline (and toned my thighs a lot).

Thank you. That's very helpful
