Weight loss reset with meal replacement - Day 1

So today marks the first day of my health reset. I have been so crazy with binging (alcohol and food) but I've come through the other side with a realisation of why this has occurred and the determination to stop it all and move forward.

I had a pretty huge HA moment yesterday but recovered for now.

I'm using the New You plan total meal replacement because, apparently, this will work if one sticks to it so we'll see. I really hope I get some kind of result because I paid for 16 weeks of 'food' which is looking fairly questionable.

I started the morning strong with 850ml water and some black coffee. Holding off for breakfast until 6 am and then trying to decide when to fit some activity in today.

I'm planning on 10-20k steps daily, for now, and 3 days of strength training.

Not really sure what I hoped to gain by sharing all of this but it feels nice to put it out into the world because it's still dark outside and everyone (if they are lucky) is still sleeping.

Hope everyone has a great, productive day and meets their goals.

Good luck. I lost a lot of weight doing a VLCD but I’m not sure if that’s what you are doing. To be honest I felt amazing. I took quite a lot of supplements too. I lost 25kg.

Wow! 25kg? That's amazing! How long did that take you? Was that achieved with the VLCD?

I believe it is a VLCD I'm using. I am supposed to eat 4 'meal packs' a day, drink at least 2.5L of water and allowed only certain drinks like black coffee, tea etc.

I'm still learning about it but I think that's what the idea is, in the main, so that you enter into a ketosis state or at least repress carbs while getting full nutrition for however long you're doing the diet.

I don't know how much I have to lose, and it's going to be a fair bit more than what it started off as, following my week long Easter binge!

I suspect at least 15kg.

I did slimfast meal replacement for a month a few years back and it totally helped me reset my eating habits and meal structure. I found the transitioning back to "normal" quite difficult though. Good luck.

Thank you! I'm glad you found that SlimFast worked for you! I often thought about getting some SlimFast and trying it but I forgot about it until now!

Day 1 went well. I didn't cheat or anything, which is amazing, because I am still making dinners and stuff for the family and I can't lie about the fact that everything smells pretty amazing that I cook, ha!

I've woken up too early this morning so it will probably be a struggle to fight hunger with an overly long day but we'll see what happens.
