Losing the pounds! Or trying to…

I’ve hit a total weight loss plateau after losing 2 stone steadily over 18 months. I run 5k three times a week and try and eat within 1500 cals a day.

I just can’t seem to shift the last stone at all?!

Any hints and tips please? I was wondering about stopping the running and just focusing on diet but unsure if this would help or not. Anyone been in a similar position and can help me kickstart again? I’m bridesmaid for a friend in July and would love to be feeling my best!

Thanks!

Well done on WL so far and the exercise regime.

Can only talk from my own experience but if I want to lose weight it only comes from diet. I wouldn’t lose weight on 1500 calories as for me that’s plateau territory.

Fast800 is always my go to. I’m starting on Tuesday to shift a stone before the summer. I’ll just follow the recipes, it’s that simple.

I would agree that 1500 cals is likely not to be 500 calories below your TDEE, which is likely why you’re experiencing a slowdown in weight loss. I wouldn’t stop the running, as you presumably want maintain your fitness levels. But I would recalculate your TDEE and work out what is 500 cals below that, and see if a couple of weeks sticking to that generates some weight loss.

What are you eating (outline meals?) you might have to drop calories further. Are you eating enough protein? I’d suggest adding weight training so that you don’t lose muscle mass .

I’ve just had a two week refeed. I think I’d totally adapted to my intake and am hoping by having eaten more and now dropping off again I lose my last 10lbs
