Joolly2 · 21/04/2026 00:22

@10kstepsaday 👏👏👏very impressive, I'm going to have to up my game.😀
@PeonyPatch yay, congratulations. Really hope it's lifted your spirits. Nothing like success to spur you on.
@MoneyJo you will get there, and anything is better than nothing.
There's no way I can compete with the numbers some of you are getting. My total today is 12,592 and I'm really pleased with that.
I'm really enjoying reading the stories on this thread, so many people challenging themselves and achieving great things.

Wow! Lots of successes and inspiring stories. That's so good.
Having a very busy few days and don't seem to have ability to say hi properly to people or even properly catch up on here.
But quite lovely to see the progress on here. It's inspiring.
@10kstepsaday 🏆 🏆 🏆🏆, how did you have the energy. Were you tired at the end of the day or still feeling vibrant? That's some really great work.
@Myrunningshoesaresocomfy , your work place sounds great.
@PeonyPatch 6.5k run🏆
@Joolly2 gardening is a good workout, great for mental health too. I went to a few garden centres the other day. Bought a few plants and flowers. Currently, hothousing them because i have not had time to sort my garden. I also have this cat and a couple of foxes wrecking havoc in my garden and some flowerpots, so feel protective of the plants. Congrats on getting 12k steps.
@Illbefinejustbloodyfine 6.5k run 🏆
@MoneyJo well done on building on your steps. I have the C5K every year since 2021 but didn't do it last year. I am struggling to get back into running but this group is really encouraging. And it's helping me try again.
@Yesreallyitsme , well done on starting C5K please keep us updated. You are inspiring me.
@OrientalPrinceInTheLandOfSoup , you run also too, right?
@SilenceInside , how are you doing? Not easy when you have little ones to look after.
My steps from yesterday. Fell asleep, forgot to post. Another busy day today. I don't want to get out of bed!

Morning All 😃

Well done @PeonyPatch on another run!

@Yesreallyitsme thank you!
Trophies all round tbh! Anyone who is still here, and posting gets a trophy from me 🏆❤️🏆

Well done @Joolly2
12k steps is awesome!!

Well done @Onegramatatime
I'm not sure energy wise, I suspect at a different point in my cycle yesterdays walk would have been exhausting! But it was so nice walking in the sunshine.

Back to work today so numbers will be very different.
Although I am hoping to get a run in before work as a later start today.

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone!

I helped clean a house top to bottom yesterday which resulted in some good steps, park after school with the kids and walked around while they played so a good result for me . Oh and some kitchen dancing!

Just been out fir a quick lunchtime walk, over 5k today so far which is good for an office day.

What a fun day @Illbefinejustbloodyfine
We sometimes have a dance party around the kitchen before bedtime, kids love it 😁

13K today including a run this morning. Wasn't really feeling it so it was very slow but glad I did it. The exhaustion is catching up on me now!! I am thinking tomorrow to swap my planned days around so stretch and walk tomorrow instead of a strength workout.
Trying to listen to my body!

Another run tonight - this time 5km, meaning I managed to achieve 10,594 steps today 💪

Yesreallyitsme · 21/04/2026 21:49

Definitely listen to your body @10kstepsaday

I hit target again today. Tuesdays are good for me as a do a big walk during DS football training.

Tomorrow I will do anYouTube weights work out and then C25k on Thursday 🙂

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 21/04/2026 21:58

@10kstepsaday I still have a Wii and enjoy a Just Dance session 😂

Well done on sticking to the plan. You never regret going for a run I dont think, nomatter how hard it is to get out the door!

Office day today, but busy, up and down from the ground floor to the 2nd floor several times which helped!

SilenceInside · 21/04/2026 22:12

@Onegramatatime thanks for checking in! I seem to be finding it a bit trickier than usual to fit outside or even treadmill walks in this week. I missed the 10k by about 300 steps on Sunday which was irritating, but I’ve managed to get over the 10k yesterday and today. Over 12k today which I’m much happier with!

Joolly2 · 21/04/2026 23:55

Took my dog for a long walk this morning and got 10,000 steps by 11.00am. Then grandson wanted a walk this afternoon, I didn't have the heart to say no as walking helps him to regulate himself after the stress of school. So, I've done 21,050 steps today. Badminton tonight was a struggle.😄
Planning a quiet day tomorrow.

Onegramatatime · 22/04/2026 02:26

@SilenceInside , yeah, that's irritating when you miss your target by a few steps though i would argue that 9700k steps is practically same as 10K. You have managed to more than make up for it afterwards. That's great.
I think this is where the idea of averaging one's steps over a period of time comes into play.
Over the the last 3 days, you will be 10k steps/day.

My steps today - about 17K

Morning all ...finally got my 5k run back to under 40 mins , so chuffed 😀
I wrote a long post the other night and for some reason it didn't post it 🙄
Some fabulously high step targets ...I ended up out dancing 3 nights on the trot !! Not done that since I was in my twenties, But good exercise nonetheless.
Il catch up properly tomorrow as I'm working late tonight. Hope everyone having a productive week so far ! X

Evening All!

Well done @PeonyPatch on a 5K run 🏃🏻‍♀️
Well done @Yesreallyitsme good plan!! I heard a lot of talk about C25K on the radio yesterday and thought of this thread!

@Illbefinejustbloodyfine haha that is amazing!! I have not done Just Dance for years!!

@SilenceInside hope you are ok! 9.7k is basically 10K anyway 😃 well done on 12k too!!

Wow well done @Joolly2 21K!!
Also that's so cute your grandson wanted to go for a walk 🥺

Well done @Onegramatatime
And well done @OrientalPrinceInTheLandOfSoupand for the sub 40 5K! Awesome work!!
Wow you have some stamina dancing 3 nights in a row 🤩 I fear I am too old for that these days 🤣 which is probably nonsense but I am impressed with your energy!!

The numbers are so impressive on here 🤩🤩🤩
11k for me today. No workout just a casual lunch time walk in sunshine! ☀️

I’m inspired by the impressive numbers that some are managing, as well as by the consistency of everyone too.

Another 12k for me today, phew!

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 22/04/2026 22:34

@OrientalPrinceInTheLandOfSoup one of my goals before Im 50 is sub 30 5k. Thankfully I have over a year ro go as I am currenty averaging about 40 minutes. 😂

Rubbish day today wrt steps, having a tough time this week. Binned my run off too.

April - 10k a day Club
10kstepsaday · 22/04/2026 22:40

@Illbefinejustbloodyfine that is a good goal! I am about 38 minutes if I push... I am not sure about shaving off another 8 minutes! But maybe something to aim for!
I am planning on joining the local park run at some point.

I hope you are ok if having a rough time atm ☹️

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 22/04/2026 22:46

@10kstepsaday I have managed 39 something lately. Restarted running aroubd christmas time. Am several stone too fat so not doing badly considering.

I did park run in around 25 minutes. 15 years ago 😂

Thank yiu, I am ok, just dealing with some very stressful personal stuff that is somewhat out of my control.

Onegramatatime · 22/04/2026 22:53

@10kstepsaday , 38 minutes for 5K run. That's great.

@Illbefinejustbloodyfine , sorry you are having a tough time this week. Are you are okay?

Well done everyone for your consistency and achievements.
Being conscious about recording our steps, making that effort or stepping out everyday even with whatever challenges we may be having (work, ill health, looking after DC, high workload, no time, personal safety etc) is a big win every time irrespective of the number of steps we make.

My steps today about 12K.

Joolly2 · 22/04/2026 23:39

I'm quite tired today so very pleased to get 11,122 steps.
So many of you on this thread are working, looking after children, coping with physical or mental challenges and still you get up and find the energy and determination to complete steps every day. The number of steps is not important it's the fact that you are getting any steps at all is so impressive. I can remember the sheer exhaustion of working, and raising children and looking after a house. That's without any health challenges so kudos to all of you.

MoneyJo · 23/04/2026 06:22

I haven't got to 10k at all this week but I'll stay on this thread for inspiration and keep making sure I'm doing more steps than I did last week.

Yesreallyitsme · 23/04/2026 07:01

I got to 9.5K steps yesterday - taking that as a win as it was a manic day at work and I have a cold 🤧

OrientalPrinceInTheLandOfSoup · 23/04/2026 09:13

Morning ...yesterday's steps were about 18000 but didn't get home from work hil til 9 😴
@IllbefinejustbloodyfineI'm 47 this year so I think I'm.going to try and make my 50th goal to get to a 10k run. I'm just slow but I've started doing Park runs , hoping to get a sub 40 5k by crimbo.
I think we are all doing pretty damn well be it running or walking 😊
