Lost 14lbs since September but don’t look any different, anyone else?

I’ve lost 14lbs since September, but I don’t think I look any different.

I put on around two stone after being prescribed Mirtazapine, so I’m trying hard to get the excess weight off.

When deciding to do something about my weight in September, I weighed 11st 8lbs (BMI 29.6) and now I’m 10st 7lbs (BMI 26.9). I’m 5ft 2 too. I’m not on WLI either.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Weightloss can be hard to see. Do your clothes feel looser? That's a better indicator than trying to eyeball yourself in the mirror. Well done on your work so far! X

Only some of them feel looser now.

The clothes I wore pre-Mirtazapine still don’t fit (there’s no surprises there as I still have around a stone left to lose to reach my pre-Mirtazapine weight.)

Ideally, I’d like to lose another stone and a half though!

Thank you, so much!

Have you tried measuring your waist (for example) to compare the difference? You might find you’ve lost inches even if you don’t see much difference

I normally notice (and so do others) when I’ve lost a stone. My best friend is currently almost at a stone and a half weight loss and you can tell but more so as she’s wearing her jeans which she didn’t when bigger.

I have also lost 2 stone and none of my clothes are any looser! I look no different.

I honestly thought my scales were wrong but the nurse at my GP surgery weighed me and confirmed I had lost 2 stone since I was last weighed there.

I don't understand it and it gives me no incentive to lose more (ideally I need to lose another 2)

I bet you do look different. I've lost a similar amount in the past couple of months and I cannot see it in the mirror, not at all, but my husband and quite a few people at work have commented on it.

Last time I was pursuing weight loss, after losing 1.5 stone I swore my clothes still fitted the same and I hadn't dropped any dress sizes. My mum said that was probably because most of my clothes were soft, stretchy, not exactly structured things like leggings and long tops and wouldn't feel massively different to wear whether I was a size 16 or a size 12. I then went to a shop and tried on jeans and unforgiving dresses in a few sizes and realised I had indeed dropped a dress size- it just didn't feel like it at all in the forgiving stretchy stuff I had been wearing for ages.

Well done on your achievements so far!
