One pound a week

I’m 48 next week, have a hectic job and am deep into perimenopause. I’m very start stop with exercise although now the sun is out and it’s getting lighter, i definitely feel more motivated. I constantly insist I must lose 2-3lb a week but it’s not even vaguely sustainable - or possible.

I’ve decided to aim for a 1lb loss per week and by the time I go on holiday in late August I should be the best part of 2 stone down. I need to lose more but that will be a good interim target.

is anyone interested in joining?

I’m going to need to calorie count and just try and exercise a bit more. Based on my Garmin watch, in a normal day I burn about 2300 calories - the walk to and from the train station for work - so I guess I’ll be aiming for around 1700. I may aim for 1600 ish but will see how I go.

Good idea If you think about a 1lb a week anything more is a bonus. I won't calorie count but will cut out all snacks, sugar, switch to skimmed milk.
