Forty, fat and fed up. Anyone else?

Inspired by the ‘Fat in Your Fifties’ thread.

I recently turned forty and have 3-4 stone to lose. I was always very active and a size 12 until I had dc4 in lockdown, coinciding with a return to full time work which made me more sedentary. Hovered around a size 14 for a bit but then got and even more sedentary (and stressful) job 2 years ago, which has seen me go to a size 16-18.

I go through phases of being good to exercise or eat healthily, but then I come off the wagon and it all goes to shite again.

I don’t drink but am partial to a sweet treat in bed at night while I watch tv. Dinners etc are home cooked for the most part, bar the occasional convenience option or takeaway.

I'm determined to have 3 stone shifted by the time I turn 41, but no idea how I’m going to go about it. Have tried low carb/fast 800 and had some success in the past, but it started to affect my mental health and I found it unsustainable.

Went clothes shopping today and it’s given me the kick up the arse that I need!

Anyone else?

Me 👋 turned 40, I have lost some weight, not through being really good of I am honest, I just stopped drinking full fat coke and switched to Pepsi Max (still crap, I know). Still overweight, still fat etc etc.

I eat too much convenience food and do zero exercise. Would rather try and exercise at home than cut out my food treats
