Can someone tell me a bit more about your body’s ’set weight’

and if it’s a real thing?

Just lost my baby weight a second time and I’ve found that I am stuck at 10 stone 3.

But even before babies, running marathons, active lifestyle, eating clean and lean (because I prefer it, not through punishment!)- the last time I was 9 stone something- I was probably about 12.

I have a loooong apple health history to back this up!

I’m five foot 3 so technically still 2-3 pounds overweight, but I have very low visceral fat and a perfect waist to hip ratio so no big deal. I look nice in clothes and am toned from lots of weight lifting and running, pretty happy with everything.

However, it’s a fine line- as half a stone of excess from holidays, has my face swollen and my fitted clothes tight.

I would love to be a couple of pounds lighter for a bit of wiggle room, but it just isn’t happening.

I’ve accepted that returning to routine shifts it pretty quickly, but I’m just curious…are there any studies on set weight? What has your experience been?

I think it’s tough being short. I’m the same height as you and weigh 64kg so only just within a normal BMI. I am finding it so difficult to drop the last 5-10kg. Unlike you, I do no exercise and am definitely a bit wobbly with a high % body fat. My maintenance calories are so low, it’s really difficult for me to lose anything at all now.

I lost successfully - and stuck at 9 stone - at 5ft 2 its not ideal, but I really am not happy cutting down even further and being miserable. I tried for weeks to get below the 9 stone mark - I look best at 8.5 stone - it wasnt happening, I was feeling like crap with it , so Ive settled at maintaining that.

I just accept Im not a teen anymore.

You could get hold of Dr Andrew Jenkinson's book, "Why we eat(too much)" and/or watch this
